I have one day off a week from my programme, ie. a day when I don't exercise and I don't have to eat six times a day. I usually have Chinese take away and I think it gives my body a jolt :)

I agree. Take a cardio class or dancing or something different. A change is as good as a rest.

Yet another short woman here trying to lose weight. Started at 148, now at 134 but headed back down towards 110 hopefully. Only 4"10 so I understand all your struggles.

My DVD arrived in the post yesterday, so I'm also in. Will be interested to see whether it works better than an hour's worth of circuit training or tabata....

Tofu, food made from mycoprotein like Quorn, nuts, pulses, quinoa, cottage cheese, natural yoghurt. Lots to choose from.

Don't do 'nothing'? My BMR is 1100 and I have a sedentary job which involves sitting in front of a screen all day. One of the reasons I got overweight in the first place was because I was eating the same food as my 6ft tall husband who is a construction worker. I am losing weight slowly but surely (about 0.5 pounds a week)…

Agree completely. I'm only 4ft10 and sometimes don't always need 1200 in my day.

My bust and my hips are exactly the same size, and I have a small waist. But wait.... my thighs are HUMONGOUS, and depressingly so. I've lost 13lbs on my diet and it's all come off my hips and bust making my thighs even more pronounced. Sigh.

Egg whites are great on wholemeal pitta or bread. I would worry more about the nasty refined carbs than the wholemeal ones. We all need carbs. Also, I'm a fan of cottage cheese, though many aren't. I use a hand blender to turn it to a creamy mixture and then sneak it into other foods, like pasta sauce for example. It's so…

Agree 100%. I can't tell you how much difference increasing my water intake per day has made. I feel better for it, my skin looks better and it's helping me reach my goals. Get that H2O on board!

My BMR is 1200 (yes, I am short!). I eat six small meals a day and am never hungry. My net calorie intake is about 1100, and the weight is coming off nice and steadily.

Same here. Used to be fit. Not any more. Have started using the TRX straps at my local gym tentatively. I really like them. I want to get some for home now too.

I'm actually 8 days into BFL right now. I couldn't resist weighing in on Sunday morning and discovered I had lost 4lbs and 2% body fat. I'm really enjoying it so far. I've not long been out of hospital with a serious illness, but this is helping me get my body back on track. Highly recommended.
