Not sure what your exercise routine is, but exercise is what really can help you go from obsessively calorie counting and being overly concerned with the weight to embracing the healthy lifestyle. At least it did for me. I got more involved with riding horses, some jogging, and hiking. When I was working with the horses…

I have always had this problem, especially when I try to lose weight (I’ve fluctuated 15 pounds over the past 10ish years, but when I make myself lose weight I struggle). Like I literally ate an entire bag of Birdseye broccoli with rice and fish and was STARVING afterwards. When we go out to eat my friends gawk at how much…

I never really gave anything up. I just consumed a lot less of it. However I did pretty much have given up all sugary drinks. No more milkshakes, frappes, juice, etc. Very little milk. I don’t like to drink my calories unless it’s a smoothie or protein shake. I have gotten really good about balancing myself to maintain…

Does Pacer work when you don’t have your phone on you as long as it’s synced with the watch? It is rare but I don’t always have my phone on me during exercise especially yard work

Thank you for your story!!!! Nice to hear so many that had the same problem and were able to overcome it.

When I run I do keep my shoulders back/ chest out. And run with my arms engaged, as well. I don't really go that fast, but even a light pace can wear me out. When I run, my goal is get in a steady rhythm. Running does feel great. Maybe I'll just be a bit more patient and see where it gets me. Thanks to everyone for all the…

I run in comfortable shoes. But mostly I hurt in my chest area, though I can feel it throughout my entire body. It literally feels like I can't get enough oxygen to my muscles when I go fast, which is probably what's going on. I suppose I'll be asking a doctor about it.

Thankfully there are other exercise options, lol. But I'd still like to find out what's going on. I'd love to improve my lung/breathing because I like to swim as well and can't hold my breath for very long.

Sounds like a plateau. I honestly don't know much about re-establishing a work out routine but I will share what I do know. I've heard many people say that by simply doing something different than their normal routine they start seeing results again. I'm not sure what new exercises to recommend, but I'm sure a trainer or…

Hi thank you for your answer! I used to when I was back on the mainland, U.S. I'm out-of-state for a few months so I haven't been able to make it to the gym unfortunately. I did those hip abductions (I think they are called...) and I loved them.

5'4", 138 and wear about a 2-4 dress size, depending on the brand.

Freezing them works wonders, and it makes the smoothie cold without adding ice.

Thanks for the input. I do one day (18-24 hour) fasts frequently, usually because I don't have time to eat. (lol)

The Middle Big Bang Theory Criminal Minds There are a couple more I'll watch, but those are my favorite three.

I've started taking gummies because I never remember to take the pills. I take fish oil and calcium. I drink a lot of soda so the calcium is important to me. I used to drink a lot of milk but quit because of the calories in it :(

It sounds like you're putting on a little water weight. I personally only weigh myself in the morning with light clothes on and when it's not that TOM. I stopped eating my exercise calories for awhile there but I have recently started eating some of them back again and I feel a LOT better.. plus I'm not putting on the…

Sometimes I eat negative net calories... I've lost lots of weight. If I ate back my calories, I would be huge.

Really west over here :) Hawaii to be exact. I love hiking to waterfalls and secret pools, rain forests, up mountains... it's always an adventure.

I think I had to add my horseback riding myself? I could be wrong though. Here's a good site: http://www.equisearch.com/horses_riding_training/training/general/countingcalories_122006/ Here's an even better site, for general calorie counting: http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc

I take omega 3 fish oils when I think about it. Thanks for the tips and yeah I know it's hard to get good fat in because fat is so high in calories.. sure wish it was that hard to get bad fat into the diet! lol.

Anything with that combines sugar and carbs.. i.e. brownies, cake, muffins... Of course they have the highest calorie content one could imagine.

I think a study was done on people trying to lose weight who all ate the same thing/same amount of calories was done and the only difference was that one group ate nuts and the other didn't. The people who ate nuts didn't gain weight and lost at the same pace as the others. Anything in moderation I guess. And nuts are very…

I don't really have a problem with it. I'm pretty new at work so nobody really knows I've lost weight. Plus I eat whatever they do.. .if they go by Starbucks I get something low fat or whatever fits into my calorie goal that day. If my boss orders pizza for the monthly eating, I won't deny eating that either. It's more…

I am literally addicted to diet sodas. I would drink anywhere from 3-4 cans a day, plus those big drinks from gas stations. I have cut back recently and am doing much better... more like 1 can every other day or a fountain drink a couple times a week. I prefer to drink 0 cal flavored water w/ Splenda. Definitely not as…

It's amazing how good water tastes if you're really sweaty and tired. I also recommend drinking it ice cold. Do you like tea or lemonade? You can get water from fruits too. Like apples, oranges, watermelon, etc. They aren't a substitute for the real thing but they do help.

Coffee for sure. I like granola bars in the morning as well. Actually the best thing I have ever found for mornings - ever - was this app. I can wake up at 5:30 AM and feel okay :)

Don't get too discouraged! You can beat the plateau. Did you go over your sodium limit? Even if you drink plenty of water, if you're over the sodium limit you may retain that. I read somewhere too that getting enough sleep is important in weight loss. Finally, have you changed your calorie goal? Sometimes after you lose…

Mine won't get tight enough (yay) and there is slightly more room in the cups. But considering I was like a 32 A/B before this doesn't exactly please me XD

About a year and a half to two years ago I lost about 30-35 pounds. Hit a one year plateau. Lately I've lost around 7 pounds. I mostly just watch portions, I definitely am not a health food nut. :P

Thanks again for all the replies, guys. I'm so glad I'm not the only one! Had another 'bad' day today :( I used to eat so well before I went on vacation, since I went on vacation my habits have changed dramatically. I think I'll look at my meal choices before and see what the difference is. I've noticed how expensive it is…
