Hi folks, I did the Whole 30 this summer, didn't weigh myself or log food the entire time. The best things I noticed were "brain fog" went away, better sleep, chronic pain gone, water retention gone. Worst things I noticed? massive headache between the 7-11 day achy all over (nope no cold). I didn't loose to much weight…

Today I turned 58...eek! Starting NR today, I'll add all of you! By the way, I'm a paleo girl, so if you look at my diary, be prepared!

I'll be starting my second round next Monday (8.30), so I can join you.

SO, finished The Whole 30, I feel so much better physically and mentally. No more brain fog, more energy, sleeping better,no stiff achy feeling, no water retention. I lost 3.4 pounds,1.2% of body fat, a total of 4 inches, most dramatic was 1.5 inches off my hips! My only problem is I need to find a way to incorporate more…

Hi everybody!! Well another week has flown by, and I've been doing pretty good. No real temptations this week, I think my sugar crush is done with. I had a plum yesterday, I don't think I had ever noticed how sweet fruit is! My clothes feel a lot looser, can't wait to do pictures and measurements next Monday (the…

A BIG thanks to everyone posting their recipe links! Day 15 for me! First real craving came today...cream cheese? LOL!!! Overall, my health has greatly improved; no more morning aches, brain fog, and restful sleep. I sometimes "think" my clothes seem slightly bigger, 15 more days and I'll be checking on that for sure. I…

Hi Stacie! I'm new to Paleo eating. I started with eating Primal about 2 weeks ago and noticed improvements with pain and joint/muscle stiffness (I'm 56). I did get a headache that lasted 4 days, but it's gone now (carb flu). I think this has made it easier for me to ease into the next phase and started the Whole 30…

Day 3 for me. Over headaches, on to lethargy. It feels like major effort just to take my dog for a short walk. Someone posted about it last night (on being lethargic), and I learned that my salt intake maybe to low. I've always been salt sensitive, so I think I'll slowly up the amount to see if I have any fluid retention.…

Hi Folks! I started eating Paleo about 2 weeks ago, and have noticed significant changes in my health already (including major headaches the last 3 days, none today). So today, after doing some research, I decided to start the whole 30. I'm looking forward to see what other changes will happen. My biggest challenge will be…

You might want to give up the fish oil and try Omega-3 Krill Oil (I use one by Natrol). My levels: Pre , after 30 days: Total Chol 219 , 143 HDL 97, 78 LDL 114 , outside reporting range (to low to register) TC/HDL 2.3 , 1.8 (ideal) Triglycerides 45, 45 I was only taking one capsule a day, but you can safely take 2 per day.…

Please ask your doctor if they have read "The Smarter Science of Slim" by Jonathan Bailor. Not all "weight loss doctors" are board certified in the field, and lack the understanding of how your metabolism works. Do yourself a favor and read the book yourself, it has endorsements from medical researchers in the field (from…

Really sore and swelling > google "DOMS" yep, you're retaining fluid (not a blood clot or CHF). Your body is trying to compensate for the muscle damage that comes with heavy lifting (this is normal). It tries to hold on to fluid to repair (build) and clean the muscle cells. It will subside when the soreness goes away. Next…

My cardio is HITT for no more than 15 min 2X a week...I also walk my dog for a half hour, but since he stops every 3 ft, I really don't count that as cardio, just every day stuff.
-
just started this week, but I walk for now.

Try the New Rules of Lifting For Life, by Lou Schuler. They can make up which exercises they want to do (and physically can do).

I've had my BM core for over a year. My best advice to you is to take the average over 3 weeks (select the 21 days on the dashboard). It gives you a better idea of what you're burning (consider off days where you burn high or low).

emmycaitlin03, try doing the inch worm instead (shows it in the book), less stress on the abs until you're healed.

I guess it would depend on the amount of weight you use as you increase using heavier dumbbells. Difficult to do deadlifts correctly with dumbbells, too. edit to say: you can get the individual squat rack stands (need 2 of course), easier to store, and a 5 ft bar instead of 7ft.
