I tried to bring my weight up with my doctor and she dismissed it. The next time I saw her I was 15lbs lighter and she didn't talk about it even after I told her I was working on my diet and exercise. My blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol had improved significantly. I kind of wanted a "way to go" from her or keep…

Travel travel travel and stay in the best resorts/hotels and do everything I want to do wherever I am…pay for all the family college tuitions…buy a new house on the water with a dock and a boat. Live without worry. I'd like that. I'd also give a lot to non-profits and family who need it.

Having 3 kids raised in the same manner (including twins) they are all completely different. It isn't all about the way they were raised. They each come in as their own person. We love, help, nurture and guide them but I don't think we can change who they are.

I don't drink now…tried it but it didn't work for me. Like many here my dad drank too much all the time when I was growing up. He quit about 30 years ago. After he got sober it took a long time for us to build a relationship -- but we did. He's 80 years old now and has started drinking again. I just asked him to stop. I…

Have you taken him to training classes? That would help both of you. Smacking him and crating isn't really the best corrective measure. I use positive reinforcement to work with our difficult dog. It also sounds like your dog really wants attention even if it's negative attention. There are a lot of techniques to help. Do…

I'm still here just trying to maintain. It has helped to keep recording and being accountable. I'd still like to lose some more but mainly I just don't want to gain it all back.

Sure. Activity is activity. You burn calories one way or another. I don't add everyday light cleaning. But if it's a big cleaning day or yard day I add it.

The one that finally made me want to lose the weight, "What happened to you?!"

I think forgiveness is challenging. Having said that when I have been able to forgive it has been one of the most valuable things I have done for myself. I still have trouble forgiving one individual. Try as I might to let go, I still hold onto the anger and mistrust toward that one person. I'd like to let go. I know it is…

Most people didn't really notice until I lost around 40 lbs! I guess it had to be significant to really make people pay attention. Many didn't really say anything until I lost over 60 lbs!

When I started going to the gym I wore my old t-shirts and shorts. As I lost weight I needed some new stuff to wear and it was really fun to pick out some cute work out clothes. Guess what? I feel better in them. I take a lot of group exercise classes with wall to wall mirrors. I like feeling good about my reflection. We…

One day my sister said, "now we are both fat" :-(. I didn't know how large I had gotten until I heard it from someone close. A few months later she started losing weight and exercising. I couldn't let her beat me and that's when I started MFP. I had been trying to lose weight for years. MFP and my friends here made a big…

PS I think it's good to set goals but be flexible. It's OK for goals to change.

I'm 5'8". I go more by size than weight. I have gone down to a 10 but want to be an 8. Fitness counts too. When I'm fit I am a smaller size even at the same weight.

You can be really proud of your accomplishment! Keep up the great work.
