The "come and get it" approach is totally doable. I love to use that one especially after holidays!!

I do not push this on my family (well, that's a little fib, I do try to get the girls to try fruits and veggies-that's always a battle and urge them to make healthy choices, but I don't want them to feel like they need to "diet" or that I'm depriving them of the things they love or they'll be trying to sabotage me, too). I…

I had lost almost fifty lbs when my husband finally let his true colors show. He was insecure and thought I was cheating, losing weight for someone else. He also didn't believe I was going to the track alone-which I do because I don't go to chat, I go to walk-fast. So, I stopped going to the track-gained back half of the…

Thank you! I've been doing much better. It took a couple of days to kinda get the hang of planning out a days worth of meals that were high in protein and still wihtin my calorie goal.
-
My doctor wants me to eat 80g of protein a day, but I want to maintain my calorie goal of around 1200, too. Any suggestions on foods that are high in calories, but moderate to low on calories?

Hi, I'm Julie, and I need help getting back into the swing of things. I was doing well for a while, but got distracted and put most of the weight back on. Once I get back into it, I should be okay, but getting back into those good habits has been difficult. I also check in more on my phone than the computer, but I will…

Last summer, I was doing so well. I was walking at the track 3-4 times per week and doing well with my food diary. I have gotten out of the habit of walking and tracking my food and it is hard to get back into the swing of things. I had lost almost 50 lbs, but have put on about 40-help! I'm good at encouraging others, but…

Gerry, I'm new to the group and if you help me be accountable, I can return the favor.

Hey there, I am also an emotional eater. I'm married, 37, and have two daughters. Good to have MFP friends to give support.
-
that sounds like a really good idea.
-
Like.
-
you're welcome to add me as well, and good luck!
-
worth a shot.

I'm A pos, too. I don't know how long I could hold out without some of the 'No's", but I could give it a try with you. We can see how we feel and if it helps us to lose weight.

If you go to track exercise and enter walking, you can choose from whatever speeds that are offered, then you just tell it how many minutes of walking at this rate you did. It'll figure the calorie burn for you.
-
Been here for a while now, but always looking for supportive and encouraging friends. Feel free to add me, too.

These MFPers make a great support system! You can TOTALLY add me.

There's a setting for maintenance to help with your calorie goal.

Way to go, everyone!!

I drink the Blue Diamond unsweetened almond milk. I decided to try it to cut calories (30 cals per cup vs 122 cals per cup of 2%), but also because the older I get, the more intolerant of lactose I become. (thanks, Dad!) I don't drink it plain, though the taste isn't bad at all, but use it in my cereal and protein mixes.…

Finally! I can record a loss! I'm down 1.5 lbs! Only 28.5 lbs to go for my Christmas goal! lol!!
-
I've been in the same fix for the last several weeks. Bummed that I'm not losing, but relieved that there's no gain. I'm hoping that I've broken free with a loss, at last, of 1.5 this week! yay!!
-
Oh pooh! I gained two!!
-
Today was weighday wednesday, and the verdict is.....(drumroll here)...down one-half pound. I haven't been to the track since school started, but you can bet I'll be up bright and early Saturday morning to go walk the track!!
-
Thank you very much, I'll try it again!

I know I sound stupid, but how do you access the google spread sheet?
