This made me snort laugh.

Today I discovered that Jones Soda's Zilch Cola is the best diet cola I've ever tasted. Seriously. Thank goodness I get my discount on them at work! :drinker:
-
I'm going to check these out, thanks for posting!

I like Nic Cage, but he's a movie *kitten* (he'll do anything ). Renee Zellweger (I also loved Chicago, but not for her.) I love Robin Williams, that one went right by me! I also agree that if Ray Liotta is in a movie, it will be disturbing/creepy. Ben Stiller gets on my nerves. A lot.

I'll have a diet coke once in awhile (mostly for an afternoon caffeine boost), but I don't drink pop (yeah, I said it) all that often. When I do, it's usually because I'm having a Coke craving, and then it's Classic all the way, baby. It's worth budgeting in those calories for me on rare occasion!

I'm on the Katie Perry train. UGH.. /wrist. Ke$ha.

I think somehow the lady of the night/Halloween comment and power rack comment tie together...

Fiber One 90 chocolate and peanut butter bars. Special K cereal or protein bars. I like the smoothie idea, too. I work retail, and my schedule changes constantly. Yesterday I was at work at 4am, today not 'til 630 pm, so I also feel your pain!

Most definitely an NSV. It's important to pat yourself on the back, even for "little" victories!
-
Good luck! I'm wondering why they're waiting so long to do this. That said, I had 3 wisdom teeth and a molar removed a couple years ago (I was 39, I think) and was eating in pretty normal in 3-4 days.

Back in college we said if we ever started a punk band we'd call it "the Dead Potato Bugs."

They ran off to have a torrid love affair with the 20 I sent packing.

I actually love the post it note idea! Or text messages... or stickers... Or pointy shoes, yeah... *sigh*

Geez, just reading the topic made me drool like Pavlov's dogs... Saving this!

Consider talking to a therapist. One you really "click" with can be a lifesaver. If you're in NE Ohio I can recommend lol! Check this out, too... affirmations might seem cheesy at first, but you'd be amazed. I have a really cute jar next to my bed with a bunch of affirmations on little pieces of paper so I can grab a…

PS - I started using Pure Via (like Truvia) instead of Splenda. I like it better, and it has no carbs (Truvia does) to sweeten my morning coffee :) It's also way cheaper!

My favorite oatmeal is simply the instant quaker apples and cinnamon. I adore it, and it holds me over. I make it with water. My schedule changes constantly (I work retail), but one thing I keep in the cupboard for on the go breakfasts is Fiber One 90 bars - the chewy chocolate peanut butter is delicious!

OTC melatonin can be helpful for occasional insomnia, but from my research taking it long-term can have adverse effects (ie, your body makes less because it's used to getting it from another source. Please 2x check, as I am not an official reference source!) Ambien - I've taken it on and off for years. Used to take…

This made me giggle. But for real.... hard to say w/o knowing his habits and body type. Best bet is to see what a doctor has to say!
-
Hey, Smith9905.... how are you doing?

Consistency is key. Try to go to bed/get up at the same times every day. I have the same problem that you described, and have since I was little! I'll set the alarm and put the clock as far on the other side of the room as I can, only to get up and turn it completely off so I don't have to get up for the snooze in 8…

I was divorced from my 1st husband about 8 years ago. My 2nd husband and I were separated for about 2 years, and reconciled early in 2011. That said, when he (2nd) left me, I felt like I'd been hit by a truck. I actually slapped myself across the face to wake myself up (which really sucked, because I'd had wisdom teeth…

The only thing worse than jeans shopping is swim suit shopping. That said, I work at Old Navy. We carry several different styles (ask an associate or read the charts on the denim wall for info; or look on line, then go to the store to try on). The nice thing is that when they're on sale, you can get good deals...…

Great post, birdie0929! What an awesome attitude. Today I'm feeling pretty attractive; 3 people noticed that I've lost weight. "I can REALLY tell!" was the common remark!

Fiber One 90 chocolate peanut butter bars are delicious. Seriously. Yum. No, I haven't read the full ingredient list, so insert disclaimer here.

At 5'6" I will be about a size 8 at 150. It totally depends on your body type/structure. If I got down to 125 I'd be emaciated (and tinier than I was at 17, which is crazy.)

I want to thank you for posting your story, too. I can't wait til my kids say things like that to me! With about 80lbs to go, it's still going to be awhile. I also have been really slow on exercising; I'm going to let your story motivate me there! Congratulations on your success.

When my friend (age 43) had a heart attack. He's by no means fat, but he's been a smoker his entire adult life. After talking (seemingly endlessly) about losing weight, I finally told my doctor I was scared and needed some help. She told me exactly what I didn't want to hear: eat less. Move more. Duh. *sigh* She suggested…
