Lol, Oh my gosh! I can't even imagine. We have one of those in my gym as well, and I just shake my head in pity whenever I see someone on it. You show them who's boss!

Ah, yes I heard about 1.25 plates. =o That's a really good idea, and since they're not that heavy, it'll be pretty easy to throw them in the gym bag to take to the gym. I was thinking about it though, you should probably personalize it somehow, so the gym doesn't try to accuse you of stealing. But I guess that would be…

New to SL5x5, former NRoL4W. New rules was getting complicated and it was too much to think about, but I enjoyed lifting heavy weights. My dad was doing this program and I noticed that he was always done waaay before me. So I tried it for the first time yesterday (After neglecting Lifting for a month..) and was surprised…

Hey Guys, I'm back after a 3 week Hiatus, and wish to share a discovery I made. Water = amazing phenomenon. No-brainer, right? Lol, Well I started school at the beginning of September and since I was traveling (I commute to the city to go to the university), and started noticing I was feeling Lethargic and unfocused all…

...... =D .............. =D .................... ;_; <-- Has been absent for 3 weeks!! I'm afraid to return to the weights.... What if I have to go back down to puny little dumbells and no weights on the Oly bar?!?! D; Hello girls, who've been diligent and getting amazing results, and Hello to those who are just starting!…

Stretching helps a _bunch_ whenever I get sore I just take a minute and try to stretch the sore muscles, if I can. It doesn't make the soreness go away, but it feels good and its good for them. Also, I think Temperature can help relieve them, but I can remember if its cold or heat that best performs a relieving sensations.…

I know exactly how you feel! I'm more than half way through Stage 1 and am not seeing _any_ difference in the scale, but I haven't measured myself in long while, so I'm looking forward to seeing _something_ change come this Saturday morning when I measure myself up. =D

Gooooood Morning! I was lazy this morning and didn't get to my run, booooo. D; I need to find a way to get a deeper sleep, or a better means of waking myself up... >__< Any suggestions!?! Danifo, That actually happened to me when I first started the program! but I think it was a little different for me, since I had all my…

Good Morning! Melissa, you're a rockstar! I always see you in here, greeting anyone who has the time to stalk the forums in the morning. You always seem to have good news about your achievements in gym. Its awesome to hear that you've increased your weights so much, and that you're almost done. =D My journey has been slow,…

Welcome Bransonlee! I totally agree with you! I can't wait to do to do the AMRAPs to see how far I've come, because I'm not sure I'll see much of a difference in my body or the fit of my clothes... =/ but I'll go the whole nine yards and get the measurements and pictures and yada yada blah blah blah.. ^^; This is…

I also found this a difficult change. According to the book's calculations I should be eating 1800-2000 on normal days and 2200-2400 cal on workout days. Since I'd been aiming for 1200-1300 for the last 7-ish years, I thought I'd build myself up and instead have been aiming for 1600 cal on normal days and 1800 cals on…

DDDD= Much waaaant!! You look great!

I always thought I was okay strong for a girl, but geeeeeez!! You guys are showing me that I'm measly weak as heck! I increased my weights today, but only to a 55lb squat, and similar elsewhere.. >__< Although, i will say I forgot to do the extra set now that I'm official half way through Stage one. =x I still don't feel…

Not really far enough to have any positive changes, but if you don't mind, I'm going to keep an eye on this thread to see all the inspiring NSVs. ^^

Congrats Melissa!! That's always a nice feeling when you move up and you know you can handle it! c= I'm pretty jealous though, I can't do normal push-up because of a wrist injury that hasn't fully healed. My doctor has forbid me from push-ups since its only making it worse. =/ So, I talked about it with my dad, who's been…

Lol, wow, I'm doing everything out of order... ^_^;; well, hello everyone, I've been stalking the other threads on this site for a while now, but I guess its about time I _formally_ introduced myself. My name is Jaclyn, 24yo 5'7" starting round 165lb. (I guess... I've been fluctuating ever since I started on this site, but…

I don't mean to steal your thunder, but I was wondering if any of you people would like to friend me as well? ^^;; I'm on my forth week on Stage 1, and am feeling powerful but still a bit intimidated. ^^;;

I suppose I should be posting here a bit more since this is where all the peeps are who're in the same stage as me. ^^;; I'm in my "4th" week, but I'm doing the extra long Stage 1 where I'm adding an A and B workout before I increase my weights. =o I usually do a smidgen of cardio to warm-up and cool down on lifting days,…

ROFLMAO!! That's great! I love it! XDD

That's amazing, Jen!! I can't wait till I say the same! =D So, two things: 1) Do you guys tend to have a more difficult time during TOM? It may be the stress, or that I forgot to eat dinner last night (I swear I didn't mean to.. @__@ I was focusing on a project with a deadline.), but this morning was hard. In different…

You mean like Canned Tuna? That's actually not a bad idea... I wonder if there are other canned fish I could use as a snack. =o I just finished thoroughly reading up on the Nutrient section of the book and I've adjusted my necessary Protein intake, realizing that I never seem to get enough. ^_^;;

Oh my gosh!!! I totally thought the same thing! I was sitting there thinking, "Crap my!! That looks painful! Why would I want to increase my finger strength?" Lol. @Jhn: That looks like a pretty intense program! =o Its probably a good idea to look for something after the NR, though, since I'm not sure that's a…

Lol, I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed this program on the first day. I remember being able to lift more than I thought I could. ^^;; and the burn felt great! it was like a constant reminder that I'm working and its doing something to me even when I leave the gym! XDD I'm in my 2nd week, and I haven't had any…

Thanks for the welcome Beeps, and yeah, I'm enjoying it so far. ^^ Sorry to hear about the lack of results, though. D= FunBun, I just want to say, you are super cute. =x I love your smile. Sorry for being creepy. XD ^^;; Jen, Congrats on almost being done, and I'm sorry you aren't seeing any results, either. >_o Fulfilled…

Sam, Thank you! That helps a lot! I feel so silly, I'm a Youtube rat, and I never thought to look up the workouts on Youtube. ^^;

I'm sorry to hear about your pulled muscle, Manic! D= That's never fun to live with something like that. >_< But on the bright side, at least you got it at the start of your week break, right? ^^ So you'll have a good amount of time to recover. I've only had one workout and the step ups didn't bother me nearly as much as…

Hi Joanne, That sounds like an amazing nsv. You must've felt great that day. I just purged my closet this weekend, but I'm still the same size as always, so it wasn't that exciting. ^^;; I hope to purge again in the next couple of months to find a very different result/feeling. Shopping in NYC sounds exciting and that's a…

<Intimidated> Hello to all you Veterans on the thread. ^^; I just want to put my foot in the door and see if I can join this group a little more than just, well, "joining the group". I am very new to this, just bought the book last week and started S1 A1 this morning. It was tough but the soreness is already gone (for now,…

I've been reading and have setup things up to start Stage 1 on Monday, but the eating scares me a bit.. >__< I know people say it all the time "Eat more, Loss Weight!" Heck, I've even seen it in some of your tinkers! ^^;; I've aimed for 1200 cal for so many years its weird to think that 2000 cal will help me lose fat!!…
