As of this a.m. I'm at 159 Ran another 7 miles yesterday but may have to dial it back some due to ball of foot pain. Walking around without shoes on has become painful. Hoping this will not get any worse.

It really depends on your feet. High arches, low arches, overpronate, pronate, minimalist, neutral, etc. If you go to a real running store they will be able to tell you. A real running store! Not a big box sports store where the employees are just thrown into a dept.

It's all your fault, your washing his clothes wrong! Lol, jk, that sounds just like something my husband would say too. Like someone else said, look after yourself, he will eventually have an ah-ha moment.

Did you get fitted for your shoes or did you guess? Everything from knee injuries, blisters, heel pain, arch pain, etc. could all be due to that. Running socks are good to help prevent blisters also. Lots of stretching, roll your foot on a tennis ball or frozen water bottle to help with aches and pains. I have to sleep…

I do believe this is where I should be. I feel like the slowest loser and have never succeeded at the losing 5lb a month or 20 lbs by such and such date. CW: 160.8 (I was really hoping for under 160 this am, bummer)

Way to go! I hope to one day have that pace!

Stretch Do some hip strengthening exercises Do you run the same route in the same direction? If so, start switching directions. (I run at a park, one day I run clockwise the next time, counterclockwise). Sounds dumb but it does help.

Start icing your leg and rolling a tennis ball on it to help with the pain. After it feels better, then start your training again. Go slow and listen to your body, you don't want to sideline yourself for 6 months due to an injury caused by overtraining.
