I agree completely and second the artofstrength! Anthony DiLuglio is fantastic - I've got a couple of his dvds and they are great.

I've got the Iron Core dvd set. It includes her Iron Core Volume One and Volume Two workouts, which are great for learning the basics. It also has a Boot Camp workout and 2 Warrior workouts. Hi All! My name is Mary - just turned 45 (ack!). I'm getting back to my kettlebells after taking a break for a couple months. I've been using the Anthony DiLuglio's Providence dvd and also Sarah Lurie's Iron Core dvds. Now that I'm back doing it - it makes me wonder why I took the break to try something else???

It works. It really works. I finished it mid-December outside, although my running is not very fast. I am doing it again on a treadmill over the winter to try to increase my speed and just finished up week 2.

I agree with both of the posters prior to me. Also, try to have a snack on hand that you can grab and go when your friends ask you to do something. Having something with you will help you to stay with your diet plan but still let you go have fun.

I DID IT! Week 9 Day 3 is officially done. It's hard to believe that just a month and a half ago I was stressing over a 5 minute run, and today I did 30, plus added some more at the end to finish up the 5k.

Finished Week 9 day 1 yesterday, and day 2 today. I can't believe only 1 run left! I am not very fast, but I'm getting farther every run. Thanks! One week left! I finished up week 8 last Friday - starting week 9 today. It's about 32 degrees out and it rained all day yesterday so hopefully I won't hit any ice when I cross the roads. I'm actually finding that I like running in the cold as long as it's not too windy.

A quick google search of "healthy body fat percentage" came up with anywhere from 21-36% being a healthy percentage for women depending on your age. I think you may have body fat percentage confused with BMI, as a BMI of 30 or above is considered obese.

I don't really know if what I do is correct or not - but I log a one hour workout as 30 minutes low impact aerobics and 30 minutes strength training.

I'm up to 5060 swings. In the log I take the time of my kettlebell workout, and put down 1/2 of it as weightlifting, and 1/2 as aerobics. I usually do a dvd that has many different exercises so for this thread I'm just counting the swings, high pulls & snatches.

Week six - done. :happy: I did a time check at close to the mid-point of the run and accidentally hit "pause", so I ended up adding about 3 minutes or so to my run today. My legs are tired so I think I'll join Jolee in that bottle of ibuprofen.

Wow! You will rock it in the race on Thanksgiving! I'm hoping to finish before it starts to snow so much that I have to use the treadmill. Just finished W6D2. It went much better than W6D1, even though it is cold and raining this morning. As long as the ipod stays dry I'm happy.

W6D1 Today was harder than W5D3! I think I was running faster thinking that the intervals were so much shorter but it just seemed to HARD today. Maybe I'm getting my daughter's cold. Made it through though.
