  • I'll try it I am desperate to get this to go away.
  • I hadn't thought of that, I did eat cheese daily before but probably not at the level I eat it now. Good point. Think I should cut all dairy or see if just cutting back could help?
  • My psoriasis hasn't flared at all this whole time, it's juts my eczema that has gone haywire. Which is why I can't figure this out - whatever is happening should affect both shouldn't it?
  • Yup that's me! We did medical ketogenic with her for a bit less than a year before she qualified for surgery. Thankfully her seizures are pretty well controlled now so we don't need to follow ketogenic diet with her anymore.
  • Thanks all have an apt to see my dr next week, it seems to be better now though as long as I don't eat lots of fat in one meal. I've been staying under 50 net carbs and that seems to work for now. Hopefully we'll get it figured out, it definitely isn't childbirth level (I had natural no med deliveries with all three girls)…
  • So how do I get this to calm down? Up my protein for a bit and lower fats a touch? I'm eating around 50 grams of carbs a day now instead of the under 20 I was doing the last 3 weeks so still low carb for sure but not as low as I was doing. If this goes on for a few more days I'll call my doctor - my dad had to have his…
  • My daughter was put on the keotgenic diet as we waited for epilepsy surgery (her seizures were bad enough that we were worried about the damage that was happening as we waited for the surgery). For us we were followed by a nuerologist and a nutritionist and she had to remain on meds. The diet did reduce the number of…
  • Craving pizza so I whipped this up in the microwave...a pizza bowl. 1/4 cup sugar free pizza sauce, 1 cheese and garlic sausage cut up, 1/2 cup cheese, 30 grams nitrate free pepperoni and some oregano and garlic powder layered in a bowl and microwaved until the edges were crunchy....delicious!
  • Oh and pizza bowl...so good
  • It's good to know I'm not alone....I had to get spinach from the grocery store and the single serving carrot cake was hard to walk by....but I did. The smell of pizza at work tonight made me want to steal a whole pie and hide in a corner and eat it all...while growling. I couldn't figure out what was wrong then I looked at…
  • @hookilau cate to share you board for pinned recipes?
  • Totally agree that is one of the things I'm really focusing on - am I hungry or am I eating out of habit? But I do worry that if I'm not careful and I eat at too much of a calorie deficit I will lose too fast and have to deal with the side affects of malnutrition (losing hair, skin issues etc - I did that in college and on…
  • For me it was planned, enjoying food with my family is something I want to fit in my lifestyle. I've been doing keto 3 weeks now and knowing myself and my tendency to become obsessed with then eventually frustrated with "diets" I wanted to give myself this time to eat in moderation. And for the most part I did that. The…
  • 3 days off keto and gained 4 lbs....can't wait to see how long it takes to get back to ketosis and lose that weight. Pee sticks confirmed not in ketosis this AM.
  • Same here...the sugar is what bothered me the most, the carbs (like stuffing) didn't seem to bother me as much.
  • That was always my issue with CICO even when I wasn't hungry if I had calories left there I ate them, on days with lots of activity I would really endulge which led to a big craving cycle for me (which I know now is because I was making my insulin spike). With this WOE I am really focusing on listening to my hunger, which…
  • Glad to know I'm not the only one. I wasn't that much more active then normal and showed a 1 lb gain this morning, I suspect that this is all tied to TOM setting up to arrive in a week. When I've tracked almost daily before I've oticed this same trend. That I lose really well the first 2 weeks after TOM, show a 1-2lb gain…
  • Try the crack slaw but with the pulled pork as the meat...amazeballs.
  • Agreed - if you want a recipe to follow Nom Nom paleo has a great one for Kalua Pork. So good. I just made one that I just put about 1 cup of chicken stock, created a rub with chilli powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and a touch of cinnamon rubbed that all over the boston butt put it in the crock pot on low until…
  • A modified crack slaw (how did I run out of sirracha). Made with pulled pork (no BBQ sauce). So good. I made some for lunch too.
  • Man next time I'll buy 10! :p
  • I don't think you'll regret it, they are also a lot cheaper on the website (shipping is charged but the same shipping was charged for 1 bottle as for 3 - which is how I justified 3).
  • Thank you @Sunny_Bunny_ I've really been amazed the last few weeks at how changing the way I am eating is really changing my relationship with food. For example today we were running errands in town and I had only packed a cheese stick thinking we would be back for lunch. Before I realized it it was 2 and we hadn't eaten…
  • Yes the toffee, caramel and maybe even the chocolate will be ones I add in the future
  • I didn't take a picture because I ate it too fast. But I just stumbled on another quick easy meal for myself. Our local grocery store carries a organic grass fed version of steak-ums (so the thin sheets of frozen beef). Only ingredient on the back is grass-fed beef. So I cooked up about 1/4 of a yellow onion (62 grams),…
  • Totally just went on their website and bought 3 more (hazelnut, Irish cream, and almond rock), even found a coupon code!
  • :o Wow! I definitely need to try a few if those! I'll see if my local coffee house can order sugar free ones for me. What else do you us these in?
  • This not being hungry thing is different for me - I've always been a really hungry person. Also usually if I skipped a meal for this long I would get really shaky and dizzy, I was surprised that as I was packing up my stuff that I realized it was 3 and I had barely eaten and not only was I not hungry I wasn't feeling shaky…
  • Thanks - I drink tons of water (and did before I did this WOE) because I teach and if I don't drink enough water I lose my voice talking all day. An average day is 3 liters but sometimes I drink even more then that. Weekends I don't always drink as much water so I tend to not test at all on weekends. I usually test once…
  • Oh I totally forgot I have an Instant Pot - I need to bust that puppy out, even better then a crock pot because I can't forget to turn it on then expect a delicious supper 8 hours later. ;)
