  • My view on this topic is simple, what works for one person may not work for another. Yes we must eat right and exercise daily, no exceptions just life choice for change. One thing that must be considered in doing the darn thing or not is where you are mentally. My brother is pushing 600lbs and regardless of his health…
  • ...thanks for the input, I didn’t have any plans on this being my only form of exercise, I actually like the workouts that require taking a shower afterwards, LOL...I really wanted opinions because I've heard that too much of a good thing isn’t good. I like it because it helps with the rheumatoid arthritis pain in my feet…
  • Congrats on the great work and deciding to live a more healthy lifestyle
  • Mines is definitely in the bootay area...
  • Here  I'm 5ft even...
  • I had and on some days still have this problem. My best days are when I have more protein and veggies. Just keep at it, our body’s are all different and I've also found out that 1200 works for some and 1500 for others, trial and error to find out what WILL work for you. Keep your head up and take it one day at a time...
  • I fell off when I went on Vacation for my birthday last November. Support and Motivation and my need to not have all this pain from my RA is really most of my motivation, I get sick and tired of being riddled with pain and the one thing I've found that helps is getting the weight off, eating better and looking at it as a…
  • Hello All.. My name is Rosalind; I'd love to take part. With my thyroid barely functioning, I got into a slump, then the RA didnt help, I was walking, trying to get up to jogging and boom, it made itself present in my ankles and feet along with my wrists, fingers, right shoulder and elbows, but I refuse to give up. Its not…
  • Mines is underactive, I couldnt lose any weight, had sleep issues and was fatigued all the time. Went to the Dr, got meds and havent had many issues since.
  • I think people just assume that because all of America is taking short cuts, everyone does. I'm still fairly new at MFP and because of tyroid issues, my weight is coming off so slow I get discouraged until I read things like this. I think the old fashioned way is the healthest way to go because its you doing it and you…
  • Make sure you track all that you eat and try to work in walking or some low impact exercise. Not one of us gained our weight over night so slow coming off is the best. Be mindful of your food choices but track track track it daily so you can see what you are eating. You will do just fine, one day at a time..
  • I feel the same way just about everyday but you have to just get up and do it...I've been overweight for about 24yrs and there's nothing funny about having health issues because of it. Just do it and in the end, you will be rewarded..
  • Hello from the midwest...
  • I've been here almost a week...helpful tool for me, hope you see some results and a few new friends:smile:
  • I'm new too, about 5 days so far...because I've yo-yo'd for years what is happening to you sounds like you've hit a plateau. I'm not doctor, but you need to change your exercise routine; that's what helped me. I'm hoping to lose 40+ lbs in the next year and I find this app very incouraging. Keep up the good work
