Very well said. I tried a lot of the different programs and came to a similar conclusion is it is about what we consume and how active we can be to what we can burn.

You may feel too old but you are not and now is the time to start. Sometimes we get in a rut feeling bad and bad things happen. You can do it if you try. Use MFP to keep track of what you eat and start some exercising. You will be amazed how much better you feel when you are making progress. Remember this is a life change…

A swing that was attached in a porch broke loose and I fell. It was very embarrassing and even though the screw gave way in the wood it was still very embarrassing.

I agree with SavemyShannon. I tried a lot of the quick loss programs and this is a marathon. Calories consumption and calories burned in a lifelong change. The other advice is you will have moments but it is how do you recover that makes the difference. As Yogi Berra once said "99% of this game is half mental". Go with the…

Yes be patient. It does takes time and don't be surprised if you plateau for awhile. Hang in there because it is worth it, or I keep telling myself it is worth it.

It has happened to me a couple times but usually for about three weeks. I am not sure what to say to help besides hang in there and stay the course with MFP. All I did was keep working hard, watching your calories and trying to increase your exercise.

That is a great report. Congrats and we'll done.

Heck yes. Great job and keep going.

I remember when I got the diagnosis it really hit me. I went to the diabetes education programs at the hospital and tried to lose the weight and get my diabetes under control. When I came to the conclusion that the intake of calories and the burning of calories is a good lifestyle change. I have always worked out in the…

I too had been exercising for years with not much results. Before MFP I came to the conclusion that if you worked on your calorie intake and calorie burn it would be a good thing and have the longest term results. If you stick to the diary you will see results. This is a slow and life long process. You are doing a great…

I weigh myself every morning whether it is good news or bad news. If I stick to it some good things will happen.

I am very sorry to hear this. My yellow lab is 10 and starting to slow down. It is going to happen before I know it and I am not looking forward to it. Hang in there.

I have hit bumps along the way and it is easy to slack off and lose your focus. If you stay with it you will see the benefit and reward. What you are doing is not easy but it is worth it. Sometimes the gratification happens in small ways. Since I have lost weight my three nieces have started to change their lives and lose…
