Hello all you beautiful ladies! I also have PCOS and Hypothyroidism.. diagnosed at age 14 (I'm almost 28 now). I've struggled with my weight my whole life, letting it get in the way of too many opportunities and adventures. I've been successful at losing weight over the years when I exercised daily (including strength…

I've had insulin resistance/PCOS since I was a teen.. it's very frustrating to lose weight, so I understand. Have you ever heard of PCOSdiva? Even though you may not have been diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), usually these two ailments go hand in hand. Her website and/or facebook page is a wonderful…

Ya know, I've been wondering what's up with me! I started a very strict, almost no-carb diet a little over a month ago and my monthly has been all out of whack. I'm thinking the low-carbing definitely has an impact on our womanly hormones too! Interesting thing to research..

Save some room in your day for a serving of good fat after dinner! A tablespoon of natural peanut butter, almond butter, a handful of nuts, a piece of string cheese. Wait 15 minutes and your cravings for sugar/starch should be gone! Also, drinking warm liquids helps you feel full.. try drinking some soothing tea with a bit…

I ran my first 5k this past Saturday, May 5th, in Pittsburgh! My time goal was to run around a 13 minute mile, and I did it! Crossed the finish line just a hair over 40 minutes. It was an amazing feeling to finally meet this goal!!! I will continue to run to improve my time and I'm planning on signing up for another 5k…

I looked at your food diary and saw that you've been eating Fiber One brand bread for breakfast.. that may just be the culprit right there! I refuse to eat any Fiber One products because of the horrible bloating they'd caused me. After some research, I found that it is caused by the chicory root extract. I tried to find…

I feel your pain! I was diagnosed when I was about 16 years old, so.. 10 years ago. I've always been overweight, and being diagnosed so early, I feel was a drawback in a way because I knew how much harder it would be for me to lose weight. I tried and failed many times and I felt like the harder I tried, the more nothing…
