This is what I do 3x weights sessions per week. Started off with a weight that I could complete all sets with but which left me very fatigued my the last rep of the last set. Have slowly been increasing. My weights sessions look like - x4 sets of 12 reps chest press. - x4 sets of 12 push ups - x4 sets of 12 reps squats…

I like the strong lift 5x5 program. Like someone mentioned it's VERY difficult for women to put on muscle so don't go thinking you'll look huge anytime soon! There's also a book called 'Lift like a man, look like a godess'. That is an interesting read

I agree with the 'balance' thing... just for the fact that it makes you feel 100% better. occasional treats but eating well most of the time.

If i'm going for a casual jog I won't eat beforehand, if I'm doing weights I will

I'm usually OK after an apple and a bottle of water. Maybe a banana if I'm more hungry.

couch 2 5K is the way to go. the program on the cool runnings website costs about $19 apparently but I've found this link for you which at the very end has a program which is very similar to C25K. The stuff at the beginning might be worth reading too if you want to avoid injury/burnout.…

apparently muscles bulk up after doing weights because of the inflammation caused by little tears in the muscle fibres... there's fluid surrounding them making them look more bulky. true muscle growth won't happen until a few more weeks down the line.

My partner is super supportive. He is always telling me how proud he is of me and my efforts with exercise and food. I don't mind if he wants to have things that I don't eat around... to me it's a bonus because instead of having a serve to myself I know I can just have a bite of his and be happy!!

thanks for making some sense. i'm over the bro-science around here.
-
i agree

you should be very proud!! pics working now, thanks!

eating nuts, particularly walnuts, is good for curbing cravings. they do have fats, but the fats actually send signals to your brain to tell it that you're satisfied! you need a serving of 70cals to do this. also make sure you have at least x2 snacks a day between your meals and make sure your meals have adequate protein.…

I'm going to suggest really researching what happens to the food when it enters your body. Have a look into what happens when you eat carbs, protein and fats. have a look at what happens when you eat refined carbs, unrefined carbs, unsaturated fat, saturated fat, lean protein, fattyer portions of protein etc etc etc. Get…
