Hi, I have always struggled with my weight. I am very much an emotional eater. My husband is also a disabled vet and suffers from PTSD and severe chronic depression. My husband has had weight loss surgery and the added stress to be supportive is almost too much some days. I have been on MFP for two years and have…

I have found this is a good cheap way to eat. I bought a few of those reusable containers. I picked up a few peppers (any kind), cucumber, green onions, etc. Basically any kind of vegetables you like. I line up two or three containers. I put on the bottom some salad dressing. Whatever you like. Chop up the hardest veggies…

I think it is when you are hungry. Personally I am hungry in the morning and like to have breakfast. Just something small. I like to snack at night, so I like to save my calories. If you like a big breakfast, go for it. If you don't then that is up to you. Everyone is different and unique. So tried of hearing "eat…

After reading your story and the amount of time you have been married. I would leave him and get counseling for myself. You do not need to raise your son in that kind of environment. Your son would think that it is okay to treat you and others the same way. Unless there is a big change on his part then this behavior will…

Hard one to answer, as I have been there. Have you mentioned it to her, is this the only item she wears that is inappropiate for the office. I would mention it to her and if she continues then mention it to HR. It seems like there is no longer a dress code when it comes to office attire and everyone just wears what they…

It was days like that that I never thought I would be able to lose weight or even control my eating habits. Now I just do it one day at at a time and keep thinking "It is not the number of times you fall, but the number of times you get back up". Don't quit on yourself. You can do it, but maybe not on your own. Support…

I allow myself a cheat day, but don't go overboard. It helps keep me motivated to not cheat during the week. On my cheat day, I have something outside of the house and don't bring any leftovers with me. Seems to be working to keep me motivated and I am losing weight. Sunday is my day, so I can have a treat with my coffee…

Since January I have adopted the "Just for Today" attitude and it sure has made a difference in my life.

For some people doing light house cleaning is a way to get them started on doing more. Everyone journey is different. I think there is enough judgment out there, we need to encourage every effort.

Thank you for sharing your journey. It is an encouragement for all of us to keep going and don't quit.

Made these yesterday. My kids and husband tasted the bars. My husband even liked them and he rarely likes my baking. Took them to church and they were gobbled up. I asked if I should bring them again and got a resounding YES. Thanks for the recipe.
