HI all, I'm a 37 year old working mom - to three kids (9, 5 and 1). Please feel free to add me - we need all the help we can get managing life, work, kids, and our new lifestyle! I am hoping by losing the weight I will have more energy to get it all done (ah, who am I kidding - it's nt possible to get it all done, but I'd…

I agree! I'm about to change sizes and I have A LOT of clothes to get rid of - I'm all about charity but it would be great if I could get some in return! Although as the size goes down, I think I will enjoy shopping more than when I bought the clothes I am dumping.

I'm in the middle of level two and have only lost a few pounds but have definitely lost inches. A pound of fat takes up much more space than a pound of muscle. Try to think of the numbers as irrelvant as you will see a physical difference in your appearance soon enough. Also - in the beginning of level 2 my calories burns…

I am doing the 30 day shred because the 20 minute workout is harder than I would push myself for 60 minutes on my treadmill or elliptical. It also helps me that it is so quick that I can squeeze it in even on busy nights. I do not do it for the recommended 10 days in a row. I do three days on two days off, 4 days on 1 day…

“If you’re not being treated with love and respect, check your ‘Price Tag.’ Perhaps you have marked yourself down. It’s ‘you’ who tells people what your worth by what you accept. Get off the ‘Clearance Rack’ and get behind the glass where they keep all the VALUABLES" I love this post that was floating around FB for a…

Awesome post! You are a success since everytime you "fail" you get up and keep going. I want to be like you!

Feel free to add me. I am a busy working mom of 3 trying to lose 60 pounds. I've found some great 20 minute workouts that I do while my kids are all around me. I have the oldest help keep an eye on the youngest as part of his chores - he likes earning an allowance and I get 20 minutes to get some activity in. It is so hard…

Welcome! I am also a mom of three (9, 5, 1). Will send a friend request your way! We can do this and show our kids the right way to be.

Hi Bella, You are going to love it here. There is so much support and logging is very eye opening. The concept is simple, eat less than you burn, but putting it into practice is what is hard - MFP makes it easy to see what you need to work on! It's great to have a network of people who have the same goals and struggles!…

Hi there! Feel free to add me.

Hi Shawn, It is a great place! I hear ya on logging what you used to eat - I seriously was eating 3,000 calories a day with no exercise - no wonder I gained 50 pounds! Good luck to your and your girlfriend on your journey.
-
I hear ya! The first two weeks I was up two pounds - I felt like I should have lost 10 since I "thought I was going to die" as Jillian says. However, my husband said, "I noticed you look different in the sweater dress you had on, like your back is smoother" (For those of us with back fat - this was a huge boost!) No scale…

I am currently 15 days into it on level 2 - I go 3 or 4 days in a row and then take a day or two off and get right back at it. I am seeing great progress. You need to find what works for you. I have bad knees and they need a break every few days. I am finding that after 1-2 days off, I work harder as my knees don't bother…

I've always struggled with getting up in the morning but maybe I will give it a try one day a week and see if I can slowly become a morning person. I think I would have more energy to get through the day and not feel guilty ignoring my family in the evening. Now I may have to find a way to disable the snooze button and ask…

I typically ignore it. If they had good intentions and are sharing what works for them, I don't want to offend them for trying to help me. Or if their intentions are to criticize my choices, I don't want to get into a back and forth with them- there are some crazies on here! You have the results that show your way is…

Hi Jackie! I'm in. Thanks for doing this. My starting weight is 240.

I'm going down with ya then - cause I have whole wheat and Splenda daily - Yikes!

Best Title I've seen! Congratulations - I can't wait to join you the overwieght category sometime this year!

I am sorry for your heartbreak. Time does have a way of helping. You never get over it and you will never stop missing him but time and life will march on...it will just be different. I found it toughest as time went on because people tend to move on and get back to their lives but the loss was still raw for me, even 6…

Go see the nutritionist. There is really no downside to exploring every avenue. Try not to get to down about it - you WILL reach your goals.

Thanks! it never occurred to me to update my HRM settings. I'll give that a whirl and add a little running to my walks to change it up a bit and see if I can get the burns back up there!

Thanks for sharing. I love when successful losers share what works for them. It's helpful for those of us just starting the journey. I'm a daily weigher too and it helps me see if I've had too much sodium and not enough water - since you can't lose 2 pounds in a day, I know if the scale is up then I've gotta flush my…
