Struggling fitting my new lifestyle into my day

I'm really struggling with finding time for everything. I like many, start my day at 6:30 AM, get two kids ready and off to school, head to work, work all day in an office job, head home and check backpacks, spend 30 minutes with my kids, bedtime routine and voila - it's 9 PM. I've been eating dinner around 8 PM and I've been fitting in exercise at night but am finding this very difficult to sustain for the long term since i can't seem to get to bed until midnight when I exercise and 6 hours sleep is not cutting it! I'm trying to fit as much activity into Friday through Sunday as I can.
I feel like a hamster on a wheel! I'm exhausted!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay - I feel better having had my little rant for today.

I am totally with you on this one!! (except my days start at 5:45!) i don't want to exercise at lunch and get all sweaty for the rest of the work day and working out BEFORE 5:45 am is def NOT gonna happen (not a morning person). And on nights i head to the gym, i feel guilty for taking an hour away from time spent with my family :-/ it's also a struggle to get a healthy dinner on the table for everyone before my son's bedtime at 8:30...whew! plus if i don't get at least 7 hours of sleep in i'm a wreck for the next day thus killing my attempts to keep up good habits... Like you i'm trying to get the bulk of my workouts done on the weekends.. You are not alone in this, rant away ;D0

Have you tried fitting the exercise in the am - before you actually day really starts - at least for me it works very well - I am up at 4:30 and at the Gym by no later than 5:15 - the amount of energy doing this gives me is incredible -- when doing P90x I was up by 5...0

I've always struggled with getting up in the morning but maybe I will give it a try one day a week and see if I can slowly become a morning person. I think I would have more energy to get through the day and not feel guilty ignoring my family in the evening. Now I may have to find a way to disable the snooze button and ask my husband to literally kick me out of bed!0 -
I totally understand how you feel - as busy mum's its difficult to find the time. One of the ways round it for me is taking time out 2 nights a week - one for an aqua class and one for swimming. It's a rule on those 2 nights my husband comes home early to do the whole "kids and bed routine". I don't know if this is possible for you but the thought of getting up at 5am to go to the gym is my worse nightmare ... i'd be ready for a nap at 11am!!
I think try not to be too hard on yourself and feel you must be doing gym sessions every day - sometimes little steps can make a difference. Good Luck
