30 DS Exhaustion?

Have any of you done the 30DS for 30 days straight?
In the past I've only done it off and on but as of last week I "thought" I had decided to do it straight thru but my knees aren't feeling great prob from the jumping jacks/squats. Tonight would be Day 8 but I wonder if I should just take a break from 30 DS which I really don't want to take a break.
I know I'm "only" on DAY 8 but aside from the slight knee discomfort I feel so exhausted. Am I supposed to feel THAT exausted from doing 30 DS?
Your thoughts?
Thanks you...

I am also doing 30ds, but I don't do it every day. I also work out at a gym, so on those days I don't do 30ds. I have to take a break every few days from it because my knees are bothering me too- and I have never had knee problems. I find it pretty tiring. I guess that I don't push myself that hard when exercising on my own. It is my hope that the better I get at it, the fatigue will go away. I never go more than 2 days without doing it.0

I have been doing it for 20 days straight... On the days you feel like you need a break try doing the modified version and just go at it a little easier0

Ive actually been doing 30ds for several months. I got to level 3 and have been continuing doing level 3 everyday0

It's just that I want to try my hardest to get the max calorie burn and I guess I should do the modified version...I'm no Natalie that's for sure. Thanks girl!0 -
Hey, you should be taking one rest day a week as per Jillian. :-)0

I am currently 15 days into it on level 2 - I go 3 or 4 days in a row and then take a day or two off and get right back at it. I am seeing great progress. You need to find what works for you. I have bad knees and they need a break every few days. I am finding that after 1-2 days off, I work harder as my knees don't bother me as much. Good luck!!0

While I was doing Level 1 I was getting pretty bad sore knees and I've never had any sort of knee problems. I just started taking it easier with the moves, and it went away by Level 2. I haven't had any issues since, I think once your supporting muscles catch up it relieves a lot of the impact.
I'm on Day 21 today! Almost there I always take a rest day once per week.0 -
Jillian has actually said that you should take days off... it was intended to be done 3-4 days a week along with other exercise. Its really hard on the knees so they need a break. Look it up online... there are videos of her saying it. Just thought I'd share0

The mistake was in calling it "the 30 Day Shred." The title seems to imply that you're supposed to do it for 30 days straight, but Jillian never actually says that. In fact, she says the opposite - TAKE rest days. Plenty of people do it for 30 days straight and do just fine, but if you're feeling worn down, there's absolutely no reason to force yourself to do it that way -- it's not even the "right" way.0

Thanks so much. And yes it was a mistake calling it 30DS. And that just goes to show you that I don' tput attention to Jillian unless she's training. I usually skip all the talking and go straight to the workout. That's what I get for not following instructions. I will def take a break then.
Don't really want to but I must.0
