  • I'm veg as well - feel free to add me! I start my day with a smoothie: Manitoba Harvest Hemp Pro 70 protein powder (in my opinion, the BEST protein powder for those concerned about ingredients), banana, spinach, berries and almond milk. Gives me a great boost and most of my protein for the day. You can look at my diary if…
  • Wow, congratulations!
  • Hey! I just got engaged at the beginning of October and we are looking at an August 2014 wedding, but I have about 40lbs to lose... add me if you want to... I don't really track my food anymore but I track all workouts and weigh-ins and try to motivate those around me as much as possible. Good luck!
  • Good to hear that you're back! I'm really going to try to give it another (better) go as well. Just trying to eat as clean as possible and doing short but hopefully effective work-outs weekday mornings... let's help each other!
  • Great job everyone - I need this for motivation!
  • Great visuals! Bump
  • I get up every weekday at 5:30 and workout for ~25 min. on the elliptical. Hot and sweaty, I can jump straight into a lukewarm shower and continue getting ready for the day. This suits me much better than getting up half an hour later in the morning, sacrificing what little time in the evening I have to myself and from…
  • Congrats! This sounds very similar to the Eat to Live plan - is this what you followed? I'm asking because this is what I'm looking to do.
  • This is wonderful! And, you just gave me the inspiration that even though the scale may not move, this does not mean that you can change your appearance for the better - congrats!
  • After what seems like years watchng everything that I put into my mouth and saw the scale still creeping up, I decided that I must not be doing something right (and by right, I mean something that was not working for MY body). I was a Diet Coke fiend. Somedays, I'd drink well over 1L of Diet Coke a day and thought that…
  • Thanks for the replies everyone! It feels good to know that others notice the same difference!
  • My advice: 1) Ask yourself if you're going to be having shakes in place of meals for the rest of your life? Is it sustainable and realistic? 2) I wouldn't, tried the 90-day challenge and gained 9lbs... not fun! 3) Be careful of signing up, the incentives for Distributors to get you on board is HUGE, and it's a HUGE pain to…
  • I've been taking a multivitamin, B12, Vitamin D, Omega 3-6-9 and Biotin all at once for over 6 months and have never had a problem. Of course, I need a hearty breakfast BEFORE I take them, otherwise I feel nauseous. I take Acidophilus before I go to bed as I don't want the other vitamins to interfere with them.
  • I was having a discouraging day (have barely lost anything in ~5 months) but your inspirational words have encouraged me to keep going - THANKS!
  • I'm starting the BFC Fast Track on Monday and can give updates to those who are interested. For those who say you can't spot reduce, this is true enough. The author indirectly implies that the Fast Track is almost a detox/cleanse and reiterates time after time that after the first 2 weeks, it should be a lifestyle change…
  • I went on it in September, was very strict with it (ie. followed the plan to a tee) and gained 9lbs! I've been hearing similar stories and commend those that are having success, just ask yourself - are you going to be drinking BBV shakes for the rest of your life? I've chosen to skip the supplements/shakes/fads and take…
  • Yum! Bump!
  • I've lost 10, 40 to go!
  • You can take my comments however you will, but as "weird" as it sounds, 1200 may be too low to start. This is the BARE MINIMUM that your body needs, take any more away and you can push yourself into starvation mode. I joined MFP in late October, was 'serious' for about 3-4 weeks on 1200 calories, and gained over 6 lbs (no,…
  • SW: 225 UGW (Re-evaluate): 175 I'm 5'7", large-framed but am very dense apparently. My doctor told me that size-wise, I will most likely never be smaller than a sie 8-10 due to my frame and large hips. The smallest I can ever remember being (in grade 10/16.... 10 years ago) was 163lbs, size 10 and my parents/friends got so…
  • I have a Taylor digital/fat monitor/fancy schmancy one and thought it was working... until my boyfriend weighed himself out of the blue and insists that it's at least 20lbs out, saying we weigh more than we do. I use it just to measure loss/gain, but have heard that the old-fashioned ones (non-digital) work the best. I may…
  • Definitely go for a shuffle! It clips onto your clothes, so you're good to go!
  • Thanks for this post, I was noticing that I was going over my alotted sugar as well. I'll count it and be aware of it, but if I'm over due to fruit, I'm over. Seeing myself in the red lets me know to be more conscious as to where my sugar is coming from. I usually have a banana as part of my breakfast and an apple during…
  • Do you like Greek dressing? The BEST recipe is Club House Greek seasoning (found in your local supermarket and is great on chicken/pork/veggies as well), mix with grapeseed or olive oil, lemon juice and some vinegar (I use white wine vinegar). Chill for 20 minutes or store in a container in the fridge. Very low cal, tasty,…
  • I'm actually not on campus much at all and live 20 minutes from the nearest gym, so I try to get my exercise in at home. My life is not routine. I work 3-4 days at a desk job and double-shift serving at least 2-3 of these days (read: 13-14 work day). When I'm at home, I try to be active but at this stage in my life, a gym…
  • Sorry for the misunderstanding guys! The Olivia Method is set to 2190 but I try to have at least 500-1000 calories leftover every day (depending if I exercise or not). So, basically I'm eating 1190-1690/day. Is this still too much of a fluctuation? Thanks for the help so far though!
  • What would you suggest for exercise? I do have an elliptical and it's getting VERY cold outside so outdoor walking/running is almost impossible. I'll keep doing the 30 Day Shred ~4 days/week, but should I try to do a lot of cardio?
  • My name is Meagan, I'm 25 and 40 pounds is my goal as well - let's do this!!!
