Is there a good website out there wher general fruits/vegtables/meats are listed for calories by gram weight? Seems when I do weigh things, find it hard to select the right "option" in the database that matches the measurement I'm using? Thanks...

A couple questions... 1450 cals regardless of workouts that day? Do you assume that the cals for meats that you pick in the database are from the cooked weight or the pre-cooked weight? Say chicken breast, weight before cooking right? That's what I've been doing... unless I'm eatin from a package that's already cooked.…

And yes, I use a digital scale.... Thanks!!!
I wanted to clarify something regarding the above post. You first mention this in the OP: So I'm taking this as, you own a food scale but you've not been using it diligently in the past month. Would you agree with that statement?
I use it occassionally if I'm…

This IS what I'm doing... thus the request for pixie dust or fairy dust ... LOL I am eating about 1400-1600 and I workout at least 5 days a week (cardio and weights) and the scale isn't moving. It's what to do from here... go down and lose? I tried going up and I gained... and I did that for 4 months! UGH!

Oops... sorry, diary is open And yes, I use a digital scale.... Thanks!!!
-
Maybe a little pixie dust is just what I need... thanks! :)

I did New rules for Women through stage 6 (no scale movement) and no inces lost... felt like I was getting stronger yet, without scale movement, the fat was hiding any improvements I was making (or thought I was making). That was Nov-March of this year... now I'm just doing 1 upper body and 1 lower body a week. I would've…

To give more detail... I'm 5"7" female Currently 183lbs Age 41 (about to be 42) For the last few years I've hovered around the 160's Eating around 1400-1600 cals. Last March 2012 I jumped around 170-175... then last summer I did the eat more to weigh less (ate about 2000-2200 cals for 4 months to "reset" and now jumping…

Awh... you included me in your story!!! blush blush!!! Very proud of you and your commitment... you don't lose sight of where you're going and I'm very proud of you for that!!! I started this weight lifting idea back in March, I weighed 170 and I'm 5'7". I was doing my own workout using mostly free weights and a few machines. I was eating around 1500 cals. March-Aug... no weight loss, and not really seeing strenght improvement. In August I up'd my cals to 2000-2200 after reading up on the group…

What is the main culprit when you don't get these results? Heavy lifting 2x a week (on occassion 3x) Did my own thing for a while, then switched to New Rules for women routine beginning of Oct... and now on Stage 3. Too much cardio? Not eating enough? Not up'ing the weights fast enough (bf says I'm lifting too heavy)…

Thanks guys! I haven't been back on the scale yet... its just very depressing! Any other tricks? Does drinking more water help? What would a good recovery be after these really long workouts? I'll try to keep it at a minimum, but I'm doing Ragbrai at the end of the month, and getting talked into a couple 10 milers in the…
