And I agree with the above post. Both cardio and strength training will help you lose weight. Strength training is the reason men lose more weight than women! Cardio alone won't do it as quickly.

I always weigh more the morning after a good exercise session. It's because our bodies retain water to repair muscles. Why don't you just weigh yourself once a week instead of being dissapointed every morning? You aren't doing anything wrong. Keep eating well and exercising. It will pay off!

I've timed it and with the warm up and cool down it's 27 mins! You can't say we aren't losing calories with the warm ups. 1 minute in to level 2 and we are doing jumping jacks!!!

It's about music! Get some fast pumpy music you like (or Rock) and it will urge you on! I prefer cycling to running, so maybe running isn't for you? I noticed the same thing. I eat an apple and two fresh dates and I'm over for the day!!! I thought I'd be over on carbs but no, it's sugars! There are nice sugar free yogurts you can get, so I've switched to those. I've also noticed that I earn extra sugars if I exercise, so that's one way to even things out.

Why don't you eat dinner earlier and then go to bed an hour or 2 afterwards? I eat early (around 6pm) with my kids and then I'm in bed by 10pm. Sometimes I work out after dinner but mostly it's morning or during the day. I do go to bed hungry sometimes, but I get a better number on the scale like that so it doesn't bother…

Go see a doctor because this isn't normal. Most of us are here because stress made us eat. I wish that wasn't the case! So please, just go talk with someone, a doctor, social worker, otherwise you won't be able to get back into a routine of eating and thinking well. It is most certainly psychological.

Hi there, I do the dvd in addition to what else I was doing (riding, walking, running). It is a challenge so stick with it! At the start, you'll feel it making your shoulders stronger as you've already been using your legs with your stationary bike. Although your calves will feel it on day 2 and 3 too!

Oh boy, reading your posts have confused me, so no wonder your confused. I don't get the nett thing. If MFP says I should have 1200 a day and then I earn an extra 400 from exercise then I obviously can eat 1600 that day. If I don't exercise then I can only have the standard 1200. What is confusing about that???

Yes I lost a centremetre off my neck since starting - as if that's where I want it to go from!!!!!! I suppose everyone missed the post from aimeeturner on page 2 of this post????? She emailed the Julian Michaels office and they said it is supposed to be 30 days consecutively!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People start telling me 'you look nice today' and when I'm wearing the clothes the bike riders from the Tour de France wear when I'm riding my bike (without rolls). That's my aim!

I still cycle, walk and run, like I did before, but I've added the 30 Day Shred DVD into my daily routine. I'm up to Day 7 Level 1 and I haven't missed any days. I don't see why you can't do it twice in one day!

I'm only tired now after exercise because I'm in my 40's. I never felt it after working out when I was younger.
