I agree Sue, it is harder to shift mosly because the older you get the more your metabolism slows its a known fact, however I have found sometimes not always but sometimes I find it easier to eat better......& also you have more awareness of your body and succumb far less to peer pressure....

After night shift it is just about hard enough to drive home and get to bed! I don't think I could go to the gym first....Gratz on that one...were you able to do that when you first starting shifts? Dont feel too down....& dont forget reflections dont always reflect properly, due to lighting etc....at the end of the day....you are here on this site...which is a HUGE achievement as so many people out there dont give a damm or even try to improve themselves in any way....& it is not like you had gone out on a glamour…

yup water is crucial....and can also help control appetite a bit ....I can handle no breaks but I have to drink water quite often or my voice would get too strained.....

I agree with the post on not getting breaks...if its busy and you work for emergency services...sometimes breaks are just not possible...
