I don't think it gets harder. I find that I actually am fine with not eating bad stuff but when I am put into social situations that require me to eat bad stuff that's when it gets hard. I really don't like offending the host so I will eat what they offer but then my body gets totally sick. My stomach cannot handle junk food anymore.

I wouldn't say that dieting in itself has got harder (for me at least) but it seems to take more time and effort to shift every pound than I remember it doing when I was in my 20's! It may simply be that I was naturally more active then, I used to be out clubbing 4 nights a week so I got plenty of exercise - I definitely couldn't keep up that pace of life now! I have a much healthier diet now though - I think the only hot meal I used to get was chips on the way home at 2am!
  • yes yes yes, so different once menapause hits. Easy to put on the weight and takes longer to get it off. But it does come off. To all you younger ones out there, get into shape now!!!!

I agree Sue, it is harder to shift mosly because the older you get the more your metabolism slows its a known fact, however I have found sometimes not always but sometimes I find it easier to eat better......& also you have more awareness of your body and succumb far less to peer pressure....
