I've been having some problems with my DVR and I think I may have missed an episode in the midst of the chaos. Ugh! Should catch up soon, they replaced the box and it appears to be working ok now.

Not sure they count as 'meals'. I follow along the lines of kmbrooks15. I have some 'snacks' inbetween breakfast/lunch/dinner, and I tend to have the biggest caloric intake for dinner. If I have calories left I may have a little ''treat' after dinner, trying to stay within my calorie goal. My 'snacks' are usually fruit, a…

Made it, it was great, will make it again! 1 Orowheat Sandwich Thin (100 Cal), Egg Beaters (30 Cal), 1 Slice America Cheese (70 Cal), about 1:15 in the microwave and had a quick n' easy sandwich for 200 calories. Will try the 2% cheese and see how it goes. Thanks!

Many years ago I was involved at a high level in the local chapter of a larger national organization. A fellow board member was the past principle, and now school district superintendent. He had been the principal of a middle school that had the highest teenage pregnancy rate in the nation. You caught 'Middle School',…

WOW! Hope you surprise your husband with it on a hot date night soon! No doubt he'd melt in his tracks . . .

Guess what I'm going to try for lunch?! I try to use Egg Beaters, so I'll try it with that first.

Ice Cream! I grew up with it. Every. Single. Night. One bowl, like a ritual as far back as I can remember, and it's well before I started elementary school. I'm a proud ice cream aholic. My girlfriend bought me some small bowls in my fav color. I've decied now that when I have ice cream, I have 1 or 2 small scoops and they…

Yesterday was Yesterday, Today is today, but tomorrow is a new day to start fresh again. I know it's hard, but you'll never get where you're going if you're always looking where you've been. Looking at poor choices made in the past, will never get you to your goal in the future. It's the decisions you make in the next few…

Hey HealthElf . . . love the name, love the goals. On the same journey as far as health, but not exactly the same path. As they say, more than one way to Memphis. Best of luck, keep your spirits up, and don't be a stranger . . . .

I can only speak for me, and I know that when I keep a food diary (regardless of whether it's this site, a spreadsheet, or a piece of paper) it keep sme more accountable and honest. It's hard to rationalize in your head that a handful of carrots, grapes, a pear here, a banana there doesn't count. But it most certainly…

Hi Brianna. I'm pretty new to this site myself, but welcome! Seems like a pretty nice place to hang out, learn a few things, get some support, and take responsibility for your health if you ask me. Welcome again and best of luck!

FYI, it's not just a female thing. The same applies to shorter men, and not only from a weight perspective but from a . . . well . . . you know . . . . dating / mate kinda thing. Just sayin' . . . . . Know that for most people, whether you're short or tall, you're just as beautiful, and it took me a long time to realize…

Hey Dawn! Welcome, I'm new as well, and so far have really enjoyed the tools, and people, available. Just remember that (my opinion) slow and steady wins the race. And, setting a good example for your children is an important piece of instilling healthy habits in them. And, just think of the wedding pictures and how big…

I record the entire series. I usually get to it by about Thursday night. Now that I'm 'on it', I might go watch it later. I record it so I don't miss anything! I've been a fan since about season 3. I first saw an episode or two of Season 2, and then started and haven't missed starting Season 3. Brian Malarkey from Season 3…
