  • I always get really sore on the first workout of each stage. After that first one, it gets much better! Desiree- so glad you got the courage to head into the man cave. That was by far the hardest part for me. I think I've decided to go ahead and finish all of stage one. The weights I started with this time are the weights…
  • Hey guys! I'm on stage one also. I just finished the whole program and am doing it again. Stage 1 is not my favorite but I'm pushing through. May not do the full length of stage 1this time....not sure yet. Feel free to add me if you want! Good luck everyone! This is a great program!
  • First workout A of stage 6 done! I was actually able to do all 3 negative chin ups for 20 seconds (though the 3rd one was pretty shaky). I'm scared to add weight though. :ohwell: I can actually do one chin up unassisted as of right now and have been able to 3 in the past when I was doing P90X. My goal is 5. Seems daunting.…
  • Did first A workout today and it was a lot harder than I though it would be but here are my numbers to start: OA DB snatch- 17.5lbs DB OL Deadift- 20lbs on first set, then 17.5 last 2 sets (cramping in my hamstrings....oww!) BB BOR- 50lbs DB OH squat- 12.5/25 DB Bench press- 25lbs each hand Plank was full 90 seconds…

  • Holy cow. You look amazing. Congrats!
  • I've been doing this for a while now but recently have zero motivation to work out and I have no idea why. Its very frustrating. I pulled out an old Jillian Michaels DVD (Ripped in 30) in the hopes that just doing about 30 minutes a day (I used to do an hour) would get me back in the groove again. But...here I am, putting…
  • 2nd week of cut and have gained a pound. Blah. I took the last 3 weeks of the reset off from working out to give myself a break. Started running/lifting again when I started the cut 2 weeks ago. Hoping this is just water retention from working out again. Kinda frustrating really. I guess I just hoped that I would start cut…
  • I am a stay at home mom. Some days are busier than others. Some days its lay in the floor and read books, do activities with my son, other days its a trip to the zoo, etc.
  • Well I'm not really looking to change anything if I don't need to. I was just wanting to know what the consensus was on what my activity level should be.
  • I don't know what to tell you. I do know that, for me, I would love to find a legitimate work from home job. They don't seem to come along very often.
  • Holy cow...if you're looking for a GREAT overall blender/ice/chopper, etc you have GOT to get a Ninja. They are amazing! I got mine of QVC but you can also get them at target. There are multiple blades and they are great to get through ice. I love mine. One of the best investments I have made! Found the link to Target.…
  • I feel the same way with regard to getting to TDEE but not going over. I have increased my breakfast calories to included protein with my regular bowl of oatmeal and am working on hitting my macros consistently. I am definitely learning that I CAN do this and that my body loves the food I am giving it. No more rumbling…
  • I may attempt this again...and will not subject the hubby and kids to it until I know that I've got it down.
  • I tried to make this after seeing it on Pinterest. Nastiest thing ever! LOL. Mine was definitely soggy and I cooked it longer than it said. It was thin but I don't know what I did wrong. I think it would be ok if I could just get the thing crispy!
  • I just started yesterday as well. Feeling kinda pudgy already! Sticking with it though!
  • Thanks! I've been eating close to my TDEE lately (but not every day) so I'm hoping that its not going to be too big of a jump for me. I really struggle with my macros being on target though.
  • Can someone please help me? I am considering doing a reset but trying to figure out if I'm doing this right height 65 inches weight 132 age 32 activity: moderate category Using Scooby calculator, my TDEE is 2135 so I eat this for 8 weeks (still working out since that's the activity multiplier I accounted for?). And this is…
  • If you're looking for cardio, try Turbo Fire. Its a great workout but really is a lot of fun.
  • That's almost exactly like my first 5k a few weeks ago. Very hot and humid. I think I managed a time of 45:14 but it was a struggle. Definitely had the same "wobble" to the water line. Better luck to us next time. The humidity is really killing my running. I may be a fall/winter/early spring runner and a summer walker.…
  • As long as you have 1 rest day in-between, I think that's all that really matters. So, if you want to take off the next 2, to get back "on schedule", then go for it. Definitely not gonna hurt anything!
  • oooh... I have several! Bob Harper (don't remember the name of the actual person he was talking to) - "Then do it (insert name). Stop saying words. Quit talking! Im sick of words, words, words, talk, talk, talk. Shut the ***k up and DO it!" Get up and finish what you started! You have no idea what you are capable of until…
  • I ran into this same problem (except I wasn't doing as well in general with my runs as you are). It was definitely hard. Not gonna lie. I walked a lot. Plus, with the excitement of the first race and everything, my HR got really high before I ever left the starting line. That most certainly didn't help things either. Just…

  • Holy cow! This is EXACTLY what I need. My only issue is if I came into the kitchen with the alarm going off, I would probably wake up my kids. Definitely going to check it out though!
  • My first one is tomorrow also! The Color Run in Tulsa. Soooo excited. A lot of great suggestions on here. Good luck to everyone else running tomorrow!

  • Lol. You won't be. I thought that too, but eventually my body just cooperated and I got over that hump. You can do it!
  • I never moved on to the next day until I felt really good about the current one. Sometimes it took 3 times to get there but if the current day is hard, the next one up will probably be a little tougher. I would say its best to stick with the current one until you get through it and are comfortable with progressing to the…
  • Thank you! I was hoping to pick this book up tonight but I'm too pooped to make another trip out with 2 kids so I'm gonna go get it tomorrow!
  • So...just to clarify since I get so confused about this... If my TDEE is 2136 (using moderately active multiplier) and I cut 20% it would be 1708. Is this total calories I eat or NET calories?
  • Been very curious to try this but don't know what to think about cold oatmeal.
