no apples and pears are completely different. not even close to the same shape. usually apples have great arms and legs but full middle. pears usually have thin arms and chest and smaller waist but have thick hips and thighs.

I would think it would too. I wonder if there is a more accurate way to read body fat % for someone with loose skin?

No, they are designed to measure ones body fat % not how thick excess skin is.

I agree whole heartedly! I am also hourglass and my weight is lost pretty evenly and the last spot I gain weight is my waist. Genetics also play a big part but body shape can pretty much sum up how you gain and lose it. :)

calories fluctuated a lot because i would be active and then i wouldn't be. calories is something you need to determine with a program, dietician or doctor...not me. it is one of my things, i don't tell people how to eat, that is a journey they need to figure out because we are all so different. this is so important:)

with celiac it is a must, there is really no other way. having my hashi controlled by a good endo and having a great diet helped a lot

Actually Crohns is more if an individual thing and many react differently. I know they suggest eggs, poultry, and fish as great protein foods for Crohns pt's. I would do a bit more reading but it's mostly trial and error with your own body. Since I have celiacs, reducing gluten has helped A LOT.

Actually I haven't changed to much on the inside. The only thing that did change is that I have a bit more self confidence in my appearance. Other than that I am still the same person.

omg i get that a lot! especially when i was a kid because i had the exact same gap until my senior year. now i have pretty together teeth lol

What I found with my thyroid is lowering carb intake and not eating gluten worked best for me.

Since not doing gluten and eating more clean my Crohn's is amazing now!

I did not actively workout. I was just more active. I did co-ed softball and volleyball. I did hunting, hiking, rafting, swimming, landscaping our yard, snow removal. Things I couldn't do before but could do as I became more fit.

I get told that A LOT! They cannot believe I weigh 145 but I wasn't joking when I said I have big bones and hourglass shape. Big bones will always will always keep my weight higher and the hourglass distributes the weight evenly. Not a bad combo. I gave up on being dainty a long time ago lol :)

A very small amount. The tummy bothers me and after 2 rounds of Insanity I will know if any of it plans to stick around. Then only surgery can fix it but that is a long long time out.

It depends on how big you are to start with too. I was 259 and it took me 40lbs to see a difference but when i was 170 every 10lbs you could tell a major difference.

Well, I see it this way:) We are women and we fluctuate a lot! It is just how our bodies work. I wouldn't try to fight/deny it and just embrace it. Yep, I harvest my own meat. No problem in that. You eat cow, chicken, pig right? Only difference is I do it myself and it is as organic as you can get it.
