I am in a similar situation to yourself. My husband is to attend his graduation ceremony on 29th Nov. That has given me 5 weeks to lose as much as I can so I get myself a nice dress. This week I have lost 3lbs. I am eating a minimum of 1200 a day but its averaging out at 1500. I have been power walking to and from work (3…

Dinner is anytime between 7 and 8.30pm. I start making dinner when my youngest is in bed. If I eat at 5 with the kids, by 9pm I'm starving. Tonight we ate at 5.30 and I'm hungry already. If I'm hungry before bed then I'll eat toast or fruit or make an options hot choc as they fill me up and are only 38 cals.

I log my daily walk to work, cos its 1.5 miles each way. I dont log the walk to school or the fact that I run around like an eejit all day at work. I dont always eat my exercise calories, but on days where I have been up all night with the baby, or feeling full of the cold then I dont do any additional exercise, so dont…

Pink Dear Mr President makes me cry every time I hear it! First heard it 2 days after having my son and the line 'How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye' tears me up every time. Also Creed With Arms Wide Open has me in tears too.

no power cut or anything for us :) Did anyone see the eejit on the new last night with the jacket above his head trying to jump into the wind? I used to stay there lol.

meant to say as well, if you have a market nearby go and get meat in bulk. I get 16 portions of mince for £10, and 11 chicken breasts for £10. Chicken done under the grill with some reggae reggae sauce spread on it, with homemade coleslaw and corn on the cob is lovely. You can then use any leftover coleslaw for sandwiches,…

Great post we are also on a tight budget and trying to eat healthily the week before payday is impossible. I buy mince in bulk and freeze individual portions made up with carrots, onion and gravy. Last night my kids had that with pasta. AS someone else said, eggs are cheap and healthy as long as they are not fried. When my…

I was adopted when I was 7 and it didnt have a good result for me. My younger sister was adopted with me. MY adoptive parents were very strict and controlling, I remember being happy for the 1st year or so but after that they started getting very controlling. We were no longer allowed to play out. My mum was a teacher and…

You have to be careful with post natal exercise, especially if she has had a c section. I have heard the 30 day shred is a real challenge. Maybe break her in to it gently so she doesnt get fed up. Pilates and Yoga were good for me when I was ready to start exercising again, and one of my friends was at zumba class 5 weeks…

I am totally confused with the 1200 calories, somedays I am struggling to use them all. I very rarely eat the extra cals that my exercise gives me. I am having 3 meals and healthy snacks in between but not feeling hungry. Last night I was starving so ate a bit more but usually I have been full after my dinner. It has said…
