Sounds a cliche I know but veggies and salad do it for me every time - as do boiled eggs oddly enough!

Running was what did it for me! Slimmed my legs and my backside right down - cycling helped too. The glutes are really big muscles which you have to work hard, so prepare to suffer!

I'm not in restaurant managment but I say you go girl!! You've got much too much time left to be stuck doing a job you don't like - follow your dream! Good luck

Just want to say it can be done!!! I put on weight after having my children, and at the heaviest weighed almost 12 and half stone and I'm only 5'4 - cant tell you dress size that was as I stopped buying clothes at that point! I'm now a size 8-10............. you can do it!!

That is by far the best attitude to have! If it becomes your way of life it is much more healthy than 'being on a diet', which just sounds negative from the start, and is enough to put anyone off! I'm the same, I weigh daily (even though you're not supposed to) but it doesnt ruin my day if I've gone up, I log my exercise…

How incredibly rude!!!!! I think like you I'd've been stuck for words! Don't let her upset you, she clearly has issues of her own and is an inferior being!!

You remind me so much of me when I first started!! Ppppllllleeeeaaaassseeeee don't do it!! Be proud of what you've achieved, those first steps are so hard, then you cross a point where you begin to enjoy it and look forward to it, but your muscles need time to accustom themselves to the battering you're giving them. Take…

Forget about scales. I can't be the only one focussing on shifting inches rather than weight?

People starting marathon training generally have a solid base of running behind them, and even then they have rest days, or use other activities for balance. You have to build up gradually to avoid injury - I missed my last marathon because of the muscle tear. Go easy, build up gradually and avoid that temptation to do too…

I've been there with the shin splints, and when I got cocky and ran everyday I managed to tear my calf muscle...ouch!!! Put me out of action for months and I'm onlu just building up again now

Don't do it, your body needs time to rebuild irself! If you really want to do something else, try swimming or cross training or cycling, which will up your cardio without the impact on your joints. Beware of trying to run too fast too soon, no matter how well you think you're doing you'll head for a fall (I know from…
