Good to remember...

Oh my goodness! I couldn't agree with you more. It is so hard now that I am in my 30s (33 later this year).
-
This thread is very interesting to me because I am in the same boat. I am about to start week three of consist lifting and running. I need to lose weight, and I've decided that strength training is the best way for me to lose the weight and shape my body. Over the past two weeks I have been trying to be more consistent…

Hi! I would love to join the group as well. Thanks!

Thank you to the person who started this topic. I am totally an apple. I recently started lifting and I also run/walk two/three days. I'm hoping lifting and following the ABS diet can help reduce my midsection.
-
Yes, it does help. Thank you so much for your feedback. I'm on Day 4 and I have really enjoyed it thus far.
-
I just started the Abs Diet yesterday, but I didn't get the book solely for women because I wanted my husband on board with me too. My understanding is that the principles are still the same. Anyway, I successfully finished Day 1 yesterday, and it wasn't that hard. I enjoyed eating every few hours, and I love the fact that…

That is great! I am nervous but looking forward to it.

I am following an app I downloaded that incorporates walking. I started out run/walking a 3:2 ratio and by the end of the 14 week training, I think it will be a 4:1 ratio, but I am not sure.
-
How are you training for yours?
-
yum!
-
Great! Good luck to you! I love NROLFW! I started about a week ago.
-
I know the feeling! I will do my second workout today (Workout B, Stage 1). I will probably end up going over to the gym close to lunch time, so I hope it isn't too busy.
-
Hey! I started yesterday and love it. I will try to figure out how to request you :)
-
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
-
Thanks for the responsed everyone. I feel better knowing I am on the right track; I just have to decide how I want to "look" at it.

This is Day 4 of Week 1 for me, and I struggled.
-
Week 1 Day 2 is in the books. My right knee wants to give me trouble, but I am working through it.
-
I just completed Week 1 Day 1, and like some of the rest of you, I am glad I completed the 30 Day Shred recently because I feel stronger. I sweated A LOT, but I could tell I was stronger and able to push myself more. 29 days to go!
-
I am glad you brought this up. I am thinking about doing it every other day and running on the in between days. My knees are a bit tired after doing the 30 day shred every day and running the Cto5k program every other day. I think I won't double up like i did this last time and throw in a FULL rest day each week.
-
Great job! I will post my results tomorrow. A friend from work will be taking my measurements. Can't wait!
-
Woo hoo! Day 29 is in the books. Tomorrow is IT! We rocked it!
-
I was able to complete Day 28 a little earlier than normal today, but my two-year-old kept trying to add more weight to my plank leg lifts: himself. Whew... 2 days!
-
Only 3 more days!!! Day 27 is officially over :)
-
I still struggled today. I felt strong in circuit one, but today was also a Cto5K day, so I am just plain tired. I've been saying that a lot lately, huh?
-
I laid on the couch after dinner and asked my husband to wake me up at 8:15 so I could shred. He did. I did it. I'm glad it's over with.
-
I bought Ripped in 30 and I want to start it some time after I finish the Shred. I'm game.
-
Are you drinking enough water? I read somewhere that our bodies, meaning muscles, (I'm shredding too) are retaining a lot of water right now, so we need to drink more water to help flush our system. I have been drinking tons of water, and I am finally seeing the scale move down again. I just finished day 23.

Hey ladies! I also thought today was a bit easier. I was able to follow Natalie for almost everything, including the jump lunges and push ups. The last set of strength exercises with the plank, tricep raise, and leg raise is the hardest for me. I have to follow Anita about half way though. Anywho, it is getting better.…
