  • Your menu looks great. I did notice that your daily sodium intakes are high and that you are not drinking (or not logging) your water intake. Are you drinking water with all the sodium you are taking in?
  • I also hate water. I think it is great filtered through coffee or with seeping tea leaves and that's it. So, in order to get myself to drink water, I add the Mio flavoring. Then I have no problems!
  • Stretch and try the elliptical machine, it is supposedly easier on your knees than the impact from running. Also a good glucosamine supplement would probably help.
  • I could use some more support myself. Add me as a friend. I think it would be nice to prove doubters wrong. Oh, I almost forgot, atta boy! :)
  • I smoked for 10-12 years. I always said I would quit when I was ready to have kids and I did. It was actually easy. I honestly think it was b/c I had told myself of this event/date for so long that my body and mind knew I had to quit at that time. Weird, I know. However, I cannot lie when I say I would not love a cup of…
  • Dishes and refill my beverage. Oh wait, you said exercise, walk to and from the kitchen I guess. :-(
  • I really love my morning coffee, which isn't the problem. It is the Coffeemate French Vanilla coffee creamer that I put in it. I have tried other (all) brands, but they are not the same. I have even tried the no fat and no sugar version of the French Vanilla, but no luck. I need to start limiting my coffee days. I would…
  • Dance! I have a 9 month old and he likes to be lifted into the air, so I do that to work out my arms. As for the 2 year old, they can also be used as weights. Lay down on your back, bring your knees up and the 2 year old sit on your feet, facing you. Lift your legs up and down, this turns the 2 year old upside down, which…
  • You are fine, you hair is healthy. I have the same hair problem and every time I have asked someone, they say it is healthy and that a typical person will lose about 100 hairs a day. I agree with you that I feel I should be bald because of all the hair I pull out after and in the shower.
  • Some people think the world revolves around them, little do they know. A friend should be there for you too and not just because they need someone to help them. I suggest you get some better friends!
  • I love rice and when I was younger lived in Asia for a few years. I could (and would love to) eat it every day. YEAH RICE!
  • I couldn't agree more. It is a night out, enjoy it and don't think about calories the entire night. It will only ruin the night. Stay with the veggies as side items, go light on the sauces, cream or not and stick with chicken or fish, no pasta. Good luck!
  • Not only that, but the rest of us have to read that and then it gets us thinking about cheeseburgers. Shame on that person!
  • Seeing how I have kids, it was Monsters vs. Aliens. The last date night (with a movie) my hubby and I had was to see Avatar. Wow, we really need to go see more movies.
  • Athens, living in Virginia now.
  • Hang in there, I think it takes all of us a few weeks to get in the groove of this program. Add me as a friend and we'll work together!
  • Welcome. I have been working on this for a little over a month, maybe two by now. I am 34, married, with two boys and two dogs, a beagle and a lab. Although I still have my off days, this program is really helping. I am more aware of what I am eating and how much working out I need to do. Friend me if you want!
  • Funny you should write this. A friend of mine is always talking about this "hot gym guy," but she never talks to him or anything. She is afraid and thinks that he is probably thinking who is this woman. It is funny. We tell her to just say hi. They have even bumped into each other in the hallways at work and they say…
  • Hi there. I am a 34 year old mom of two boys (5 1/2 years, and 8 months). I work full time and attend part time college.
  • Congrats to you and welcome to the site. I have been doing this since mid-January. I am currently 168 and need to lose at least 30 pounds. I am in my 30s and just had our second baby boy last July. I started at 170, so I am slowly making progress. I still eat a lot of what I want, but I have had to really cut down on my…
  • I am right there with you! I love cheese and I eat cheese with one, if not two meals a day, and sometimes as a snack food. So I appreciate any help with this one, thanks for posting!
  • I too am in this boat. I have a five year old and a six month old. I typically get up at 4am and leave the house by 4:30am. I work all day, pick up my kids after work, cook dinner, and get them ready for bath, bed, etc. It is all very tiring. My husband is a big help, but doesn't get home until about 6-7pm. By then I am…
  • 5'5", 170 pounds. I had our second child in July. I figured, why start a weight loss program before the holidays and right after a second C-section. So, here I am. The lowest I ever weighed (in my adult life) was 145, so if I hit that, I'll be happy enough. I would like to lose more, but I should start somewhere.
  • I have always been a very slow runner. Even at my best weight (5'5", 145) and fitness ever (Army, biathlons, triathlons, etc.), I typically ran 5.0-5.5 on the tread mill. I would go to a 6.0 or 7.0 and sprint for a few seconds/minutes and then go back down to my cruising speed. I was not built for speed. I use to hate it.…
  • Hi there. I was in the Army for 10 years. I do not agree with what you were told at all. Keep working out. You will be better off when you get there. Many people are use to doing nothing when they join, so you are already ahead of the game! Keep up he hard work. As for the Navy's PT test, I think you have to complete a…
