  • Hey! Feel free to add me! :) 5'3 27 SW: 352 CW: 223 GW: 180 (for now!)
  • I can tell!! Awesome job! That's the thing about the shred, is the scale hardly moves but your body totally changes. I love it! :)
  • I think the general consensus about the 30DS is that it's a good starting point and a workout that helps ramp you up to Insanity. It's a tough workout, she does kick your *kitten* a little bit and you will be sore in the beginning, but it's short - it's 27 minutes total, and it's EFFECTIVE. It's amazing how different you…
  • Try not to think of it as how far you have left to go, but how far you've already come! We all have to start somewhere and two days is awesome! :)
  • Awesome job sticking with it! For me, I just do the best I can and I still do modified versions of some of the moves. I would move on when you feel ready, but don't be afraid to move on to level two! If it's too hard, you can always switch back to level one. It IS a little bit more intense, but you'll only get stronger! As…
  • Thank you! I've been hitting the treadmill or the elliptical a few times a week.. usually 3 times a week for about 30 minutes. Stick with it and you'll definitely see some changes! :) Again, thank you all so so much for your kind words! It really motivates me to keep going. Please feel free to add me as a friend, we can…
  • Awesome! Great job sticking with it! :) Honestly, I never even looked at her diet plan. I just stick to my calorie goal, eat some of my exercise calories back and try and eat mostly whole, clean foods (mostly.. haha). It's totally normal to gain weight with this kind of exercise, you're gaining muscle! I think it's…
  • Pounds :) Sorry I didn't specify
  • It's hard to know EXACTLY how many calories without a HRM, but the general consensus is to log it as circuit training. There's a formula I snagged from Jillian's website to calculate your personal 30DS burn.. your body weight x 3.267 and then divide it by 3 That's 3.267 calories burned per pound each hour divided by 3 to…
  • It's always a good time to start! And just think, if you start now.. you'll finish before January! :) It is on youtube.. Level 1 - http://youtu.be/1Pc-NizMgg8 Level 2 - http://youtu.be/QKdJ9jJv594 Level 3 - http://youtu.be/QMN4g3D4ODE

  • Thank you guys so much! You all inspire ME :) As far as rest days go, I think it depends on you! Just stay in tune with your body and keep in mind that it's okay to rest! I would especially consider a rest day if you're doing other workouts in addition to the shred. I think they probably wanted to market the shred as a "30…
  • You look awesome!! Great job! You motivate me! :)
  • Do you guys think we should make a group? I'm happy to start it! Edit: I went ahead and made a group. Please feel free to join and invite anyone who is interested! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/9877-30-day-shred-holiday-shredders
  • I'm in! I actually just finished the full 30 days of the shred for the first time yesterday, and I'm ready to go for round two - this time with heavier weights! I saw some amazing results in the last 30 days, and what's more.. I actually STUCK with something! It's such a great feeling. I lost about 15lbs and toned up A…

  • I'm still here.. I'm starting level three today!! :)
  • SW: 235 GW: 225 (goal weight for the shred) weigh ins: 10/17: 234 10/24: 233 10/31: 230 11/7: 11/14: 11/21: Finally moved a little!
  • Almost there! :)
  • Awesome! I have three days until level three as well.. Should be interesting to see what Jillian makes us do!
  • Welcome back!!
  • I'm definitely feeling level two in my knees.. I didn't have this problem with level one. I'm not sure what to do either! Any advice would be appreciated! :)
  • SW: 235 GW: 225 (goal weight for the shred) weigh ins: 10/17: 234 10/24: 233 10/31: 11/7: 11/14: 11/21: Just keep swimming!
  • No shin splints for me, but I feel like level two is a lot harder on my knees!
  • Enjoy those chest flies now.. I'm a couple days into level two and there is no phoning any of it in, even the modified stuff!! I'm definitely with you though, I've always felt like chest flies are just an excuse to rest for a few seconds.. I contemplated that I might just need some heavier weights :)
  • Well, no drastic movement on the scale, but I think that's to be expected with 30DS.. We're all gaining muscle and toning up. I think measurements are more important for this particular workout! Even though I only show a one pound difference on the scale, the scale can't measure how I FEEL.. and I FEEL awesome!! I start…
  • I simultaneously love it and hate it! I feel AWESOME after I'm done, so it keeps me motivated. I love that i'm feeling stronger, and I can tell i'm gaining muscle! It's amazing how fast you start to notice results with this. I've been trying really hard to keep my calories in check as well. I think as long as I'm diligent…
  • I'm using 3lb weights and so far they're perfect on everything except the chest flies.. I feel like I'm cheating or something because they're too easy. lol And I get pretty sore all over, but mostly it's my quads from all those squats. The first couple days, it was my chest/shoulders.. probably from my pathetic attempts at…
  • That's awesome! Today was day six for me, and i'm noticing that it's getting easier too! Still can't do a real push up, but the modified ones are getting a little easier so I think i'll get there eventually lol. I've noticed that I can go lower with the squats and they aren't quite as tough! I love it. One day at a time! :)
