Maybe just walking or looking up some beginner/back pain yoga on youtube? I love swimming, biking, and yoga! Find something fun :)

I agree with starting small. I started with saying no to office snacks, adding more water, asking myself if I was really hungry. Then I started moving more. 5-10 walking during the day and practicing some yoga at night ( maybe 20 minutes or so). I then paid myself for every workout and used the money to buy something not…

I had to pay myself in the beginning for each workout I did and it worked! But I do agree with some of the posters above that its a mindset. Have you ever see someone or depression? What you describe sounds like a larger issue and if not addressed will not lead to success for you. That in turn leads to a vicious cycle of…

I have the same issue! I don't know where everyone went! Added :D

Welcome! I agree with liberty26. The beginning is always the hardest. Something that has helped me is to be kind to myself and work on saying nice things to myself even when I feel defeated or like I "failed".

Hello! I have also been heavy for as long as I can remember. I have finally realized I also have to focus on loving and accepting myself as I am and what my body is capable of now not just what I dream it will be. Best to you as well!

Added! :0) I bet your trip will be wonderful in October! So beautiful there.

I can completely relate! I usually am able to kick myself in the *kitten* at first and then I lose steam. My loved ones are also enablers at times and it's soooo hard to resist what my mind tells me are yummy treats! Especially when I'm feeling tired or upset. Feel free to add me and we can trade kicks in the *kitten*!

That completely sucks! But you are right he doesn't know you or what you are accomplishing and how hard you are working. Let him and his comments go. I know how you feel I also work in an outpatient setting and had a guy in front of a group turn and tell me I look like a woman who doesn't miss many meals. It sucks, it's…

Hey there! I am also an emotional eater and that is my biggest road block. I am slowly learning that food does not satisfy my feelings. I have changed my mantra about life and my eating habits. I am constantly reminding myself about who I want to be and how I will become that person. Something that has been helping me…

Congrats on making some new changes! I too have recently realized that yes I do have to make lifestyle changes, not short term ones. My focus is on health and wellbeing instead of just looking a certain way or being a certain weight. I don't have any kids yet, but I want to be as healthy as I can be before I (hopefully)…

Something that has been helping me lately has been asking myself two questions. 1. will this make me feel better right now? 2. will this make me feel better tomorrow? Usually my answer is yes and no. Having to think about how I am going to feel after I emotionally eat (and feel the loss of control) helps me to then think…

I work in a office that is full of sweets and it's so hard to resist sometimes!!! Work an be so stressful and we all like to eat around there. I am working to stay away from any unplanned extras and stick to what I bring with me. Good for you Calliope610 for not letting people push food on you!
