Told me he was getting married in November

9 pounds in 8 weeks?! Holy moly, I know that I couldn't do it being so close to my goal weight...but that doesn't mean you couldn't. What is in eight weeks? Fancy event? I have 16 pounds to lose in 9 months for my next cruise!

I do the exact same thing...try Prison Break! I also suggest House, Grey's Anatomy, Vampire Diaries (don't judge, it's annoyingly addicting to stare are Ian Somerhalder), Breaking Bad, Castle

I just hit the same goal my self the other day. 5'6" and 155lbs with 25% body fat, in theory, as it actually hasn't been measured. I eat 140 a day, but I'm a girl...so I would assume you would want to be at around 1500. If you work out, and are looking to lower your body fat, you have to remember to eat your protein.

Thinking on it further...no matter what diet you think of...it ALWAYS comes down to calories burned. What you need to figure out is what works for you. Maybe that's 1200 calories a day, maybe it's 1000 calories one day and 1400 the next. Some people have a WEEKLY goal of a 3500 deficit, not caring about daily calories. You…

You eat "normal" for 5 days and fast for 2 days. Fast days you eat only 500 calories. What you don't hear is you can't actually eat "normal" if you normally eat like 2500 calories. Think of it this way....let's say your body usually burns 2000 calories in a day just from your normal activity. This is why you hear "based on…

I have heard of Spanx, one of my coworkers suggested them. They will really "seemingly" make me lose an inch on waist and hips?
-
If you only made it 8 minutes then you should try to do just half of each of the moves/exercises and see how far you can get then. The trick is to keep moving, even if it's half effort.

The same thing happens to me. I notice that sodium has something to do with it, as well as my cycle. I ALWAYS drop 2 pounds in the first week of my cycle (since I had gained them over the past week or so)
-
I have large hips and even when I was at my skinniest in high school at 135 5'6" the smallest size I could wear was a 10 and the legs were loose.
-
I actually have had better results going with the weekly average though I only allow myself to deviate from my set calorie count twice a week.

I am on day 2 of Week 8 so I am close to the finish! Let me tell you, when I started this it was hard making it 2 minutes without wanting to die...now I am doing 28!...and want to die. lol I did it a little differently though because I didn't want to fall off the wagon, and I have only NOT finished a run once (felt sick).…

DON'T DO IT MAN!

Well I don't run on an incline but I can tell my calves are harder. They don't jiggle like they used to either. If it's not muscle gain is it perhaps just swollen muscle or something to that effect? I have been told I eat too much sodium (I have been doing much better and now keep it under 2500 and really try to keep it at…

Perhaps I will keep the boots in hopes of my calves dropping .5 to 1 inch. They would fit then. Maybe it will be a good motivator and measure of my progress... Thanks everyone!

I had Olive garden's cheese stuffed ravioli with alfredo sauce! YUM! Though i did only eat half of the plate and went running first. :) That's why it was guilt free!

I weigh the same as you, about 159 but I'm only 5' 6.5" and wear size 15 pants. I don't think we're too far off from each other but you would be a little slimmer than me. I personally don't think I look good either. I am actually still considered overweight for my height until I hit 154 so I guess my feelings aren't too…

Totally a difference, for sure. Check your back out, a much smoother line. You've actually almost completely gotten rid of that "bra fat" that accumulates under the bra band on your back! Mine I can't seem to drop!

I wouldn't log those steps calories. MFP asks you how active you are (sedentary, lightly active, etc). That takes such things as 'steps' into effect...and really, just walking from the door to the car isn't anything that gets your heart rate up for more than a few seconds.

I have never heard of the red rule BUT I would agree with putting a little shawl or something over it where it is sleeveless. I have never seen sleeveless not covered up somehow at a wedding.
-
I'm in a semi-similar situation. I wore size 17 pants which fit comfortably at a weight of 185. I'm now 161 in pants size 15. The waists of the pants are too big but I can't drop a size because my thighs are too big!! Soooo frustrating. I lose all my weight in the waist first. In high school I weighed 140 and wore a size…

I am no expert by any means but I would think to lock into the pushup position would be bad for your elbows...like locking your knees. Same concept I would think...
-
You're totally right. Same thing happened to me (she wasn't my best friend though, a co-worker) and I dropped 10 pounds due to motivation from it! GO YOU, you'll show him!

When I did low carb I skipped the dough all together and thus focused on the cheesy goodness. You just put it all in an oven safe bowl. Sauce on bottom topped with cheese and vegies...then add your spices for flavor and a hint o' meats. I use pepperoni (Marghereta) and cut thin slices into quarters to spread out and…

Thanks. I'm pumping myself full of water today to see what that does and i will try it out all this week. I also tweaked my diet a bit to add some fruit and some salad for the week coming. If I see a change this week maybe that will be enough to motivate me to keep it up.
-
I like to think of it that way too!
-
Water weight can make a huge difference. You might not see it that drastic again...then again...you might for a while. It depends on a lot of things...what you're eating, what you're drinking, how heavy you're lifting...

when I did the 30DS I had about 40 pounds to lose...and I couldn't walk for like 3 days and I had to hold onto the sink in order to sit on the toilet...I moved on tot he second round after 2 weeks I think it was. When I could do ALL reps for a few days...that's when I moved on.
-
I see it the most in your arms...but also see the loss in your bum area! Keep at it!
-
Feel free to add me. I lost 30 pounds but then slacked off and ended up gaining 10 back...now I'm back at it harder than before and lost 2 of those pounds again. Still have about 20 left to lose or so
