Advice for my cruise

Hello all. A bit of a background before the advice request:
I am 5' 6" with bust 36, waist 31, hips 41 with a current weight of 158.5. I started off originally at 185 so I have come a long way. I have only just recently started eating healthier in my weight loss journey because I was stuck at 160 for months without budging...no matter if it was 1200 calories or 1450 calories. I got lectured about how I ate (mac and cheese, jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches, etc). So now I eat meat for lunch or dinner, with some veggies and fruit for one of my meals. It's still not perfect, but it's still a heck of a lot better than I have ever eaten before.

For exercise I did C25k and finished it, WOO HOO! but no weight loss OR inches lost...weird, but I could feel leg muscle that wasn't there before so I dealt with it. Now I do Power 90 6 days a week (did it straight for 1 month, got surgery and had to stop for 2-3 weeks, now at it again).

So the advice request...eating the way I mentioned (you can see my diary for the last 5 days). If I eat like that and do Power 90 (1 day weights for 25 min, 1 day cardio and abs 35 min) 6 days a week...will I be able to lose some good weight (5 pounds?) to fit into the dress I just bought for my cruise March 28th which is made for a 36-30-40 woman?! HELP ME FIT INTO IT!!!!

Edit to add: maybe it sounds flippant to suggest it. But I mean it. Do what you're doing. If it doesn't get the results you want in one month, wear some shaping garments for the cruise. But in the long run, what you're doing will help.

I'm sure if you don't fit into the dress by the time you board the cruise, all the norovirus vomiting/diarrhea will help you fit into it just in time for the captain's dinner!

My rule of thumb: don't buy clothes that don't fit. Every time I do that, I find that it's not proportionate to my body when I finally lose enough weight to wear it. So it doesn't look good or feel right.

If you buy things that fit you now, you look great and feel confident. If you have to get it taken in, then it'll just fit that much better afterwards.

I have heard of Spanx, one of my coworkers suggested them. They will really "seemingly" make me lose an inch on waist and hips?

Depends. I lose 1 inch on my gut, but none on my hips. But my hips and glutes are quite muscular, so I'm not surprised. Mainly it just makes my belly "look" better in a dress.
