For those who are saying, "keto doesn't sound good" or "sounds dangerous" etc, the body is literally going through a sugar withdrawl. Sugar is one of the worst things that can be put in the body, and our brains literally react to it like a narcotic. Not making this stuff up. I can go on and on on the topic. Fat is not the…

Add me, and others feel free as well! Need to be held to some accountability!

Could definitely use some motivational friends on here, too! Feel free to add me!

My best advice, just get out and do something! Start the day with a good multi-vitamin for some energy, maybe a cup of green tea. Force yourself to go and exercise, because it will make you feel better! It's tough sometimes to keep the motivation, but I find that if you are ever on the fence, just get up and go!

Thanks for the ideas! I just had to rant, I literally want to throw up right now. I'll definitely incorporate some of your guys ideas. I normally do a cup of whites with a 1/4 cup of fat free cheese. It's loaded with protein.

Just like everyone else it seems, the toes in my left foot go numb between 20-30 min. I move my feet around, and sometimes lift my feet off and step on the pedals a bit (but be careful!) and the elliptical, because it is non-impact, is a better choice than a treadmill if you have knee or ankle issues. I definitely wouldn't…

I use the Xtreme Fitness Cinnamon powder, but DEFINITELY buy the Gaspari Nutrition Myofusion powder instead. 10 grams more of protein, and 30 less calories. If you want them a tad thicker, sometimes I add another 1/4 cup oats. As to the original poster, that recipe definitely sounds great, and I'll try it sometime! But I…

Sounds good, but complicated!! Here's one that I tried last night that was AMAZING, and very easy. I give credit to IFBB pro Flex Lewis and Gaspari Nutrition for the recipe: 1 cup Oats 1 cup egg whites 1 scoop of Xtreme Fitness Cinnamon Roll protein powder, of Myofusion Cinnamon Roll protein. (you can use vanilla if you…

Although "Fad Diets" are out there in abundance, don't get sucked into it. What I do, and what I recommend for most people (I manage a health food store and went to school for this topic) is cycling different nutrient ratios. For example, for a month, follow a 40-30-30 ratio of your total calories (protein, fat, and carbs)…

scrambled eggs (2 whole 2 whites) and two slices of whole grain toast. Usually gets me through a morning workout and holds me over until my post-workout meal.

Thank you, great info!

I posted my stats/background, so maybe that helps. I lift around 3-4 days a week, and have a pretty physically demanding job. I work at a local Park as an athletic supervisor, constantly walking, and fixing things, lifting, etc.

Well, I'm 5'10 240 lbs. Probably around 40% BF. It is VERY hard for me to lose weight. The last time I had success was the old weight watchers, but I tried it again recently, and I lost maybe a lb in 2 months. So I decided to count calories and pay more attention to macros. I put in the info and 1740 cal was what it came…

Okay I understand, so I need to calculate fat free mass and go by that. Probably looking around 150-160 including bone..

Right. But If I do take in 1g protein per lb of body weight (240) then that means I can only take in the 58 Fat/ 65 Carbs. And I am trying to lose weight and maintain my muscle. I mean, I would like to increase my carbs and keep my calories the same, but it means sacrificing the other macro's. That's where I am struggling…

Oh okay, I'm still figuring this thing out, I didn't realize we could customize it. I was like whoa, 65 grams of protein? What I will probably end up doing is balancing the protein and the carbs to 50/50 after a while. 65 carbs isn't exactly considered ketogenic, but it SHOULD result in quicker weight loss. So maybe I'll…
