I guessed you would say that! :) It could be a bit high what I quoted in terms of exercise calories. I always think that the average person these days does zero exercise (for example not many mums park away from the school to walk, there is always a mad dash to be the closest, we would not want to walk more that 2 meters…

I probably add around 2000 cals from exercise per week and I eat most of that on a Friday and sat night!

Thank you everyone for some great advice, I really appreciate it.
-
Really really useful, thank you

I did not realise the surge was much bigger, hard to tell online
-
This is the one I was thinking of getting, it's saying £199 online. Where did you get it for £120?
-
Do they not have a like flag on here so I can like so of your posts?

You guys are fantastic, I posted this late last night and thought tonight I would just have a look to see if I had any responses and OMG!!! There is no way I can reply to everyone. But here is a couple. 1) I want eggs and bacon now too! 2) I am 5ft 9 and weight 131 lbs, and a uk size 8. So I am smaller than the average…

Have you lost a lot of weight? My stomach got flabbier when I lost my baby weight. I mean it got looser with extra skin. Do lots of stomach exercises including planks. My stomach is a lot better now, not perfect but passable.

Don't drop out all calcium rich foods as they are so good for you. I always drink skimmed milk even went dieting.

Be honest with yourself and log everything even if you do not like what to have to type in and work out what your current eating levels are. Then cut down a bit at a time and don't go mad down to some ridiculous low cal option like 1200 per day as you are just going to run for the hills and give up on day 1. I know what it…
-
Are you still logging your food?
-
I just switch to not counting and then come back on here after Christmas or holidays when I need to loose a couple of pounds again. I am generally good at knowing how much I can eat and stay the same weight now.
-
Lol fantastic. You would have to be a good friend to get away with that.

I always find ready made meals are not filling enough and therefore I aviod them. It's hard though if you find it difficult to cook for medical reasons. My dinners always look huge as I have piles of veggetables. I have a big appetite and I either need to fill myself with veggies or a would pile up more rice or meat on my…

Yes absolutely otherwise I would be never be able to stick with the 1200 I was given. I also store up my left over calories each day (if any left) for a Saturday night, I just work on the average being correct. I do not eat under 1200 on any day though I just store the exercise ones. Has worked for me when losing or…

I would log it too, it is actually quite funny when you see how easy it is to eat so much. I think my fav 3 course dinner plus half bottle of wine comes out at 3500 cals! Always good to have some time out! Just get quickly back on the waggon the next day!

Thank you everyone, lots to choose from which is fantastic!

I will take a look too.

This sounds perfect. I have two kids so my life is busy busy.

Thank you, I will take a look

I have got to stay at around 1500 cals per day plus excercise and one big meal on the weekend to maintain. As soon as this goes up the weight goes up and I love eating..... Maintaining sucks especially when people say to me 'you're so lucky be naturally skinny'. I have to work bloody hard to stay slim and go without foods…
-
Well done, what a fantastic achievement. Add me if you like I am maintaining weight and have been for years since having had two children.
-
Add me too, I have been maintaining for 2 years now.

You need to get rid if the scales completely. You will have to weigh yourself else where. I do not let my kids watch me weigh myself as I am pretty obsessive abut it myself and do not want them to be the same. My girls are 4 & 6 do not know what they are, they like to stand on it just to see the lights and numbers, but I…

I am greedy training to set new PB's I agree and yes injury is a good point, I have pretty crap knees anyway. That is why I only run once or twice a month ( yes you laugh!) I keep to circuits the rest of the time as it uses the arms instead of the legs alot. I do lots and lots of squats, but not with heavy weights.

I do not agree with that military body fat calulator. I have been my current size twice, once now when I am fit, and once 10 years ago when I was skinny but with a high body fat that jiggled everywhere. The military body fat one would have out me both times at 20% and there is no way that it correct, I do not even believe…

I alway have special chow main (not sure how you spell it). We have Chinese takeaway once a week and this seems to work for me.
