Quick Added Calories:

I've been under my goal weight by 5 to 8 pounds for the past 3 years thanks to healthy eating and exercise, and was thinking about giving up on recording everything I eat. However, after looking over my options I found the "Quick Add Calories" feature and decided to give it a try and see if it would be useful. So far I really like it since it still allows me to see my calories in and out and not have to focus on exactly what I've eaten or the macros.

Anyone else maintaining using the Quick Add Calories only? Has it been working well for you?

I did that for a long time and now don't count at all. =)

I just switch to not counting and then come back on here after Christmas or holidays when I need to loose a couple of pounds again. I am generally good at knowing how much I can eat and stay the same weight now.

I have a feeling I'll be doing the same at some point. I've taken a week or two off from counting, but it seems odd when I don't. My friends and family don't understand why I record what eat anyway and say I look fit and thin and shouldn't be so focused on what I eat. I'll try this feature for a few weeks and may eventually stop counting altogether.

I find I have to still log to mainly make sure I'm eating enough i.e. 2100, If I drop below that I lose. I also still log everything as I want to make sure I'm getting enough protein and not going over on my fats too much.

I hear ya about not eating enough. I have days like that every now and then. My HIIT workouts end up being harder on these days because of low energy levels. Sometimes I have to stop in the middle of my workout and eat something small to get my blood sugar back up again. I find that the calorie count method is good for making sure I am eating enough as well.

I just don't log anymore...I don't see any point really in logging quick add calories...I don't see how that's any different from just keeping an estimated rolling total in your head.

Nothing wrong with keeping a total in your head. However, some of us just like to "see" the numbers. ;)
