  • You should share you diary so that we can help you. It's hard to know what kind of food you like, or are eating and bored with. Do you cook? Are you looking for meals or snacks?
  • I made a hula hoop (though you can buy them pretty cheap) and have been doing a mixture of that with light weights, yoga/pilates. I have back issues too and though I love going to classes (tried a bootcamp most recently) I am a bit competitive and kept causing flare ups of old injuries, so I have had to find other means of…
  • Since my original post I purchased a polar heart rate monitor but still thinking I want something to tell me my actual metabolic rate, and calories needed for day to day life. Anyone?
  • I'd say 90% of my meals are under 500 calories, and most around 300. I do almost all my cooking/prep at home and that helps immensely. I focus on fiber & protein, and not having any processed foods. I allow my self the occasional splurge of ice cream, or a soda. I also snack between meals to keep my self from over…
  • Great job. Emotional work is hard, mother issues are hard. I agree with so much of the advice given previously, and don't know if I have anything to really add besides great job!

  • Welcome to my fitness pal. Hope it helps keep us all motivated to eat healthy and get in shape for our big days!
  • I was between 2 sizes so I bought the smaller one. It is a corset backed dress so pretty forgiving, but I am hoping I can reward myself by having to take it in before the wedding! I liked the way I looked in it when I picked it up and know that really if I were to just tone up a bit I'll look great as I am.
  • I'm really into steel cut oats. I make it with an apple and will add flax seed meal and raw almonds after it is cooked. When I was single and by myself I would make a batch and just reheat it until it was gone (adding a bit of water to loosen it up). To up the protein even more I'd stir in some yogurt or protein power.
  • My goal is to lose 15-20lbs by my wedding in October, to be more generally fit & toned. I gained the weight pretty proportionally so i am hoping it comes off that way too. My challenge is getting past the injuires that helped me add on the weight. generally speaking my food intake is pretty good, but the activity can be an…
