You're going to get a lot of useful information from this app! Keeping track of your food is pretty awakening. It makes portion control much easier. It can help if you start to think of food more as energy than as pleasure. Good luck!

I totally feel you with the sugar. It got to the point where I would get just a box of donuts for me to have throughout the day, and if I didn't get it, I'd need that fix before I could get anything done. For me, I had to quit cold turkey. Started using this app and committed 110%. The first 3 days are the hardest. If you…

Welcome back! My second time back as well. Good luck!

So this comment is directed at the OP. This app/program is based on counting calories, so it's unlikely you'd find any truly objective answers here. I've done a whole lot of research and found most of the weightless theories that OP is referring to. I've tried a few different methods over the years and can say that what…

Hey, welcome!

Feel free to add me as well. That sweet tooth will be the end of us all. We can do it, though! Keep it up!

Be glad to help any way I can!

Always go by the packaging :-)

This thread's hilarious. I'm in. I'm also strangely hungry now...

Same story for me too. Did well on MFP last year, but things went crazy and now I've got to get back on the horse. Could use some new friends also! :-)

If you think about it, in order to lose weight, you are consuming less calories than you are burning by just living. So a lot of us on here are negative net calories for the day (average person uses about 1500 calories a day by living). What's really important IMO, is the big picture. To be negative on MFP for a day is not…

Yeah Sussex County! Proof there is still a little garden left in the garden state! Lots of good hiking up here too. I love being a country boy.

Well I've been on Pred for my headaches, and I noticed that I was able to recover from longs really quickly. I felt like I could run forever. Then I came off and had to push really hard. Its probly cause Pred is a great antiinflammatory and kept my muscles loose. Either way, it wont be all bad! Good luck!

work out makes up for it. There are lots of theories about when you can and cant eat, but really, calories taken in vs calories burned is all that matters. Snack away!!

A lot of people love coconut oil, but it has more saturated fat than just about any other kind of oil.... Olive oil is the golden standard for healthy oils, but the more useful runner up is Canola Oil. Both are high in mono-unsaturated fats, which are considered the most healthy by healthcare professionals.

You have to make it part of your routine. Plan it into everyday. After two or three weeks of dedication and making yourself do it, exercise can be addicting! Yes you heard me. It actually triggers chemical reactions in the brain similar to if you were eating a piece of your favorite cake! Seriously, its only a couple weeks…

You look smokin!! Don't worry, weight is just a number. You sure still look healthy to me!

Weight loss is all about calories taken in and calories burned. You burn calories by just being alive, but the more active you are, the more calories you can intake. If you want to eat more, you'll have to be more active. Take walks at lunch, use the stairs and not the escalator. You WILL lose weight if you keep a little…

Support is what its all about!

Welcome! You can do this! We're all here to do this together!

I've been using a little high fiber cereal to satisfy it. Original Cheerios has only 100cal per cup! And its healthy! Other than that though, its a whole lot of determination... The stronger the urge, the stronger I fight it. I won't let food control me.

Push yourself to get back to the exercise routine. After only a few days, the enjoyment of it will come back, and so will the desire to eat healthy. After all, who wants to waste all their hard work on junk food? Good luck!

Just stay positive. Even though the numbers on the scale arent changing much, all the work youre doing is paying off. I guarantee you are a much healthier person now. Remember to keep that food diary and before you know it, you will feel like a totally new person. Keep your head up! :)

The best thing to do to keep your weight under control is keep a food diary. Its amazing the things you dont realize you eat until you record everything. Good luck!
-
Haha aslong as you stay within your calorie budget, enjoy! You've earned it!
