  • Hi there! I just rejoined MFP! IVe lost 11 lbs so far on weight watchers (6 weeks) but am now adding in exercise. I'm about 215 now and want to lose 50 more. I'm really out of shape and am doing Leslie Sansone walking DVDs. Looking for friends and support! So add me as a friend please!
  • Ahhhh gottcha. I thought you meant revision of our GBP surgery. I've had most of the same procedures as you did afterwards. Everything is saggy and loose so a girls gotta get things back in the right places!
  • WOW! 170 is quite impressive! Good for you! I had RNY Gastric Bypass 16 yrs ago. I lost about 120lbs. I kept it all off even through 2 pregnancies. However about a year ago I started on a new medication and its slowed my metabolism down to nothing. I've gained 21lbs in the past year! )-: I also am quite sure my pouch is…
  • AMAZING!!!!! Congratulations!
  • Absolutely amazing and inspirational! Congratulations! Your hard work has certainly paid off well! Thanks for sharing!
  • I had RNY in 1997 and lost about 120lbs. I never got at thin as you did - my lowest was about 160 which I was very happy with. My goal has never been to be skinny. But after 2 kids and still struggling with the love of food, I'm pushing 200. I do try to keep to under 1400 cals but even then I'm just not loosing weight. It…
  • Absolutely fantastic!!! After getting out of an abusive relationship myself, I know it can be difficult to pull yourself together and regain our confidance again. Good for you!
  • I've only had my fitbit a few weeks but so far, I see no reason for premium. I LOVE my fitbit!
  • I have had serious bouts with anemia. Cream of wheat is surprisingly high.
  • You look great! Congrats on the loss so far! You're doing great and almost at your goal! YEAH!
  • Amazing! Can you share your secrets? Was it a combo of exercise and diet or did you focus on one more than the other? You looked beautiful before, but now absolutely gorgeous.
  • Not my type, but pass. (-:
  • I personally don't see results in simply doing cardio anyhow. I'm sure some do. And I know the cardiovascular results aren't as "visible" as weight loss results. I generally do some cardio but see better results in reshaping my figure by doing circuit training or the weight machines.
  • I'm not judging at all. I honestly am trying to figure out how it happens. Lots of my friends on here show daily workouts at the gym - burning anywhere from 200-1200 cals a day. So I'm wondering, how do they fit it in. I'm well aware that there are plenty of people who have busier lifestyles than myself. And in reading the…
  • Thanks! Makes total sense!
  • I've been dating an amazing guy for about 7 months now. We met on POF. He lives about an hour away so we see each other on the weekends. (the weekends the kids are here, he drives back and forth both days....when the kids are with their dad, he just stays here....) I've never been happier in my life!
  • I had Roux en Y gastric bypass in 1997 and lost about 125lbs. It's most certainly not an "easy" route to choose. I've had 2 babies and managed to keep off 100 of those pounds. But having the surgery, in and of itself, isn't a guarantee it'll stay off and you'll still struggle with the love of food that you once had. I'm…
  • hahaha LMAO!! Until recently I didn't think so either....
  • Weekend plans involve my new man. We're doing normal stuff today - errands, he's helping me hang some pictures and curtains, etc. Then taking me out to a yummy Italian dinner! Carbs beware! Haha Not sure about what we'll do Sunday just yet.
  • Haha No. Not yet. I don't like people all up in tooooo much of my business. I'll let things mesh more first before that!
  • Well, first of all, I think it's too premature to expect butterflies. You've not even met face to face yet. There's a certain excitement and nervousness that comes from getting to know someone online and the anticipation of meeting them face to face. But I don't think butterflies should be happening after 4 days of talking…
  • I personally don't think sex can ever be totally mind blowing awesome if you don't have deep feelings for the person. The emotional connection, for me, is what makes sex amazing. I also think it takes 2 people some time to kind of create their own "style" together. To learn what works and what doesn't work for the other. I…
  • Interesting question. I dated my ex for 5 years before we got married. We lived an hour away from one another and only saw one another on weekends for the most part. So 2-3 yrs into dating, he started being ok with us skipping a weekend together. I didn't think much of it at the time.....he traveled for a living and was…
  • I've met several nice guys from POF since I joined in January. But I've found that they key (for me) is really being picky and diligent about weekend out the riff raff. I can pretty much get a feel for someone after 2-3 message exchanges. Or by the first phone call. I think no matter what site you belong to, you have to…
  • I've found that men in their 40's generally have pretty high sex drives. If he seems to have no interest, then there is something going on for certain. You mentioned he has a difficult time getting in the mood? Well, start working up to it early in the day. Send explicit text messages. Give him a quick call at work and…
  • When I dated in my 20's, it was VERY hard to date. The only men who were interested were men who were very obese. Now, in my 40's (and single again) it's a whole different situation. No offense to you younger guys out there....but I've found that as men get older they've learned to appreciate other qualities in a woman…
  • Hello! I used WAP a few months ago and quit after a week since I saw no results. But out of fairness, I know a week isn't a good amount of time to see how things work. So I'm starting up today and going to stick with it this time. My problem is that I find exercise painfully boring! No matter what I try, it bores me to…
  • I've found that after the "hello" and (by second or 3rd date) a hug at greeting, it's pretty relaxed after that. It's the first date that always makes me a nervous mess! Do you text or talk much between dates? Seems that knowing him better that way would put you at ease a bit. But maybe these 2nd date jitters are a GOOD…
  • I don't think it's a fair assumption to think you'd be an outsider. But as you said, it does depend on those involved. I sure hope that if/when I remarry, the man is able and willing to welcome my kids into his heart just as if they are his own. My kids don't NEED a dad. They have one. The see him every other weekend. But…
  • I'm on an online site and most guys who contact me range from about 36-45. The guy I've recently been out with/chatting to is 47. (I'm 41.) I don't know what the majority of guys in my age range are looking for, but I probably get at least 7-10 messages a week and I don't think any of them have been older than maybe 49 or…
