• I too am coming back from a long break... not necessarily a good thing here either! You can add me as a friend. If anyone else out there wants to add me as a friend also, just send the request. I am always looking for supporters! It's hard when you have a skinny family.
• Cut, paste, delete last answer & fill in yours! 1. What are your MFP goals? To be a healthy weight 2. What did you eat for breakfast? 1/2 wheat bagel w/ peanut butter. 3. What do you do with "me" time? watch NetFlix or take a na 4. 2 Radom things in your closet? bamboo flooring and a oil heater 5. Type of vehicle you…
• Love it! We do dinner once a week also! I made tacos w/wheat tortillas
• I usually start with the treadmill for about 20. Then I do weight machines for about 30. Finish up with Elliptical for about 20 more. I also like to throw in a day or two of swimming/walking laps in the pool each week. Water is a great way to exercise.
• I know exactly what you are talking about! You can add me!
• I know there is a channel that will replay it on Sunday. I am not at home, but I can let you know later.
• I have always said that you are only as old as you let yourself feel. Keep enjoying life and stay young at heart! :drinker:
• Tron... I am impressed. 10 mins on the hoola hoop. I can't even do 10 seconds! I guess I need to work on it a little more (okay a lot more), I never considered a hoola hoop to be an abs exercise, just fun!
• Hershey's Hugs, gotta have them! Those are my weakness! I have gotten better though, I can eat only 1 or 2 and kill the craving. What does bother me is fatty and greasy foods. I feel very sick to my stomach if I eat fried foods or foods high in fat. I think it is partially do to the fact that we get our bodies use to…
• when I do Mexican,I usually eat a taco salad with chicken -- minus the cheese and the sourcream, and don't eat the shell. It is still filling, but cuts down on a lot of the calories.
• I prefer the eliptical. I burn more calories on it.
• Don't forget... If you are doing strength training, you will build muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. Could be that you are switching muscle for fat or it could just be your body trying to adjust. Just keep doing it and you will see positive results.

• Protein is also necessary for building/rebuilding muscle. So when working out, it is a good idea to eat some lean protein or a protein shake afterwards.
• My mini schnauzer is pretty bad at times. But you always know when you need to run... she always sniffs her backside when she lets it go. UGH!
• I have the same problem... I started in a size 22W, I now wear a 14. But I don't see the difference. I have others tell me they see it, but I don't. Is it just because we are use to seeing ourselves as being larger that we do not allow ourselves to see it as any different? I wish I could see the difference that others do,…
• On exercise days (I actually take Wednesday and one weekend day off) I eat about 1500 cals. On non-exercise days, I limit it to about 1200 to 1300 cals. I have dropped a total of about 30 lbs doing it this way, over about 1 year. It certainly is not a quick way, but slow and steady is the healthy way.
• Cardio, Cardio, Cardio! That is what I was told would burn the lbs. My trainer has told me to add 30 mins of cardio daily... on top of everything else I am already doing so that I can drop 12 lbs in a month. I do 2 days with a trainer, 2 days cardio kickbox, and 1 day swim or racquetball. I also walk the dog 1.5 miles 4-5…
• Very cool! It must be a giant motivator to keep going once you reach your first goals.
• That is totally cool! I am hoping to get back into single digit sizes one day.
• Jimmy Dean makes some frozen breakfast sandwiches with Turkey sausage and egg whites, on whole grain english muffins or regular croissonts (sp?). The calorie count is between 250 and 300 cals if I remember correctly. Just pop in the micro and cook. My hubby loves them!
• It was a tough weekend -- it was a double whammie for me. Saturday was birthday and anniversary then Easter on Sunday. I went over by less than 200 calories on Saturday, even with a celebratory brownie/ice cream (that I shared with my sons). Sunday on the other hand was not too good. Unfortunately, lots of candy around my…
• Check in day... For the week. I actually gained 1 lb. But... I weighed and measured with my trainer today for the month (actually three weeks of exercise). I am down 3lbs (he said that is good because I would drop inches and not weight) and I dropped 7.25 inches, 3 inches alone being in my waist. Yea!!! :drinker: On…
• Okay guys... I am in a bad way here! I have had two days in a row of bad eating  This is jeapordizing my goal for this weekand, my birthday I know it is because I am stressed :explode: I am very much an emotional eater. Try to use exercise to combat that, but have had restricted exercise due to medical stuff going on…
• Sorry... I missed the friday reporting. I was at the docs all day then my computer at home has crashed! I lost 1.5 lbs last week :flowerforyou: I am only .5 lbs away from my short term goal for this coming Saturday (my 41st BD). I am pretty positive that I can do it. Yea! I will let you know. :)
• _________________
I have to ask, why would you need to plug in a Tv ,vcr or hair dryer in your car..okay hair dyer I might see but TV?
_________________ Think about it.... how many families do you see that use a TV (DVD/VCR) to keep their kids occupied in the cars these days. Too many people do not know…
• Actually they do have warmers that are like mini-ice chests that plug into you cars lighter. You can find them with camping stuff. Put a hot lunch in there and it should still be plenty warm at lunch time. Patricia :)
• This is true... not eating enough I got in trouble with my trainer for that. When I uped my calories, then I started losing. Patricia
• The other thing is to make sure you are eating enough. If you constantly keep to a super low calorie, your body goes into "starvation mode," a lower metabolism. I actually eat about 5 or 6 times a day (after getting in trouble with my trainer for not eating enough) and that will help to increase your metabolism. I have…
• We shop weekly - there are five in the house including two grown boys (17 & 20). Meat we will stock up on when it is on sale, but there are some things you have to buy more often for freshness. Milk, breads, fruits, and veggies we buy weekly - as well as other stuff. We spend usually between $500 and $600 a month. Patricia…
• Just keep working at it! Your body is adjusting. As my trainer told me... you will drop inches before you will drop the pounds. The initial pounds you lose is typically water weight. Patricia :flowerforyou:
