Ok, so I figured out how to add friends! Click on their name, then click on their name again when on the send message page, then click on the friends icon on bottom right, then click on the arrow icon in top right to send.

I've lost 41 lbs with what works for me. I was hust trying to ve helpful but you are choosing to be a troll. Good for you!

Sweet (lol). Watching it has helped me a lot but we are all different. I've also found that I get headaches if I have too much sugar in a meal but again, we're all different. I also try to stay away from trans fat.

Of course but my point is too many people only look at rhe calorie number and ignore the nutrient limits. MFP has them there for a reason. If you are under calories but over on sugar, you will struggle.

Do your research and discover what you liver does when you eat too much sugar.

Chia seeds with water is filling. When I'm hungry and have little room for adding calories, I eat protein, like a 3 oz chicken breast.

Sugar, sugar, sugar. Too much sugar means adding fat! Watch your nutrient info each day. That calorie number is not the entire goal. Watch your macros and stay away from going off plan with drinking and office sweets. This is a lifestyle, not a diet.

You are spot on. Restaurants can be over 40% off in their calorie claims. Plus, adding similar items by title only adds to the margin of error. 1. Aim to eat cleaner. Restaurants don't consider the oil they are cooking things in. Stay away from breads, creamy sauces, fried foods, etc. 2. The calorie number is not the key…

First of all, mske sure you accurately record tour food, even little snacks and what you drink. Know calories can be off by as much as 20% too. Next, be careful with your nutrients...are you going over on sugar? Too much sugar means adding fat. Lastly, are you exercising at least 4x/week? When you exercise, don't eat it…

Check out how many grams of sugar you are eating each day. Too much sugar means adding fat.

I've learned that people love to wear the badge of a healthy lifestyle, bragging about exercise and eating smart yet you see no results. I have a co-worker like this. She refuses to weigh herself and only judges her success by how she "feels". Yet, since last May, I've lost 52 pounds and she looks the same. She says she…

Same happened to me...I lost 27, stopped tracking and gained most of it back. I had to come to the realization that I'll need to track what I eat all the time. I liken it to how we track our finances. If we spent all we wanted and didn't track and plan, we'd all be broke! Same goes for our fitness...if we eat what we want…

I reached an all-time high weight and was buying XXL shirts. Mentally, I was very unhappy with how I looked so I decided enough was enough. I had dieted before with moderate success but I knew I had to add exercise. That's when it all changed for me!

Sweet - frozen grapes or dark chocolate Hershey's kisses Salty - salted almonds or maybe popcorn if I can afford the carbs

I hear ya there! A few things...don't buy any bad groceries and outright tell your family to not bring them to the house because of how it causes you to stumble and how giving in makes you feel. If they hear you explain this, they'll respect your healthy bubble! Also, as a side note, I keep healthy snacks at reach to help…

I estimate food portions wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much!

Awesome response!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I hit my first plateau last year, my research revealed how important it is to monitor and reduce carbs. I try my best to keep them under 100g and manually changed my macros which automatically increased my protein. I definitely stay away from processed foods too. I agree it's not all about the calories! Carbs burn…

I weigh daily, sometimes twice a day. I only do this to closely monitor how my body fluctuates based on my diet and activities. I don't get frustrated if I'm +3 lbs from one day to the next....it just helps me learn my body. I'd say if the fluctuations in weight can be frustrating to you and could put you at risk for…

You've made the toughest step. Good for you Sam! I've been learning a lot about the ups and downs of weight loss and the power of knowing as much as you can about foods. Ask tons of questions and I'm adding you as a friend.

When I first realized I had to lose weight, I was like 25 years old. I dieted, lost the weight and then stopped. I gained it back years later and dieted, lost weight and stopped. I gained it back and a few years ago joined MFP. I tracked food, dieted, lost weight, stopped and again gained it back. Why? Well, I now realize…

SUPER ADVICE!!!!!!!

For me, the secret weapon was carbs. I didn't realize how the body burns energy and when I hit my first plateau, lowering my carbs is what did the trick!

Today!

On my second round on MFP and this time I added friends who motivate. It's made a big difference and I've also enjoyed motivating others. Feel free to add me (all y'all)!

Stevia has been a good alternative for me. There are a lot of great alternatives and recipes for goodies without sugar. Take the time to research and it'll pay off!
-
For me, when I get frustrated I think of this: what is the alternative? Giving up equals being unhealthy, overweight, depressed, etc. Try to find a way to enjoy fitness more. I know I couldn't do Insanity but that's me....I'm happy working out an hour per day and tracking my intake on MFP. It works for me so perhaps find a…

To break a plateau, I changed my carb intake to 25% and it worked.
