It finally makes sense! Thank you!

Normally I wait a day in between workouts but I’m going out of town Thursday and will only have two days to workout now. Even if I just make it 30 minutes today instead of 15 I’ll be thrilled!

Im headed back tomorrow and Wednesday to make up for today so it should be interesting! :)

Only 5’4” and 46 years old. 174 lbs. My hormones are a bit out of whack right now (post hysterectomy) and between that and Hashimotos, my weight has ballooned up. Just got blood work and headed to a hormone /thyroid specialist next week so hopefully he can help me with that side of things!

I have a friend who is doing it and doing well. I have been on it for about 6 weeks and lost a bit but the soy in the products has caused my hashimotos disease to flare up really bad so I’m back on calorie counting. You will lose weight but be warned it’s only like 800 calories a day.

I’m sedentary with my job but try to work out at least 3 days a week and hope to work up to 5 days a week. I don’t eat back my exercise calories -save them up for a meal out or special splurge. I’ve just done starvation diets for so long it seems I put in weight if I even eat just 1300-1400 calories. It’s very discouraging…

I would love some friends too!

I’m the same height and weight of your before pictures and struggling to figure out my calorie intake. How many calories did you eat to lose the first 53 lbs? Thank you in advance. You’re such an inspiration!!

Yes! I could never do anything because of my 34F boobs! Besides regular cardio I also ride horses English jumping hunter. That's a lot of trotting and it does not look good with big boobs! I used to wear several bras each progressively getting smaller to kind of find it to my body it was horrible. I discovered the enell…

Thank you! I was worried I couldn't do it properly but I'm guessing doing something consistently is better than nothing!

I'm impressed!! I can't do the interval. Well honestly I'm not sure I'm doing it right! I can't seem to understand what the fluctuating lights mean. Go this speed? Don't go this speed?? I can't wrap my head around it. I use the fat and calorie burn programs back to back instead. It's hard!!

I have the M5 and love it. It's not elliptical like in my opinion. Like a smoother stair climber. The tall ones at the gym that are like climbing flights of stairs

I love mine. I thought I was in ok shape. Nothing too bad. But man this kicks my butt!! I can't do the max interval programs but I usually use the fat burn or calorie burn program twice in a row to equal 30 minutes total. I can't do the recommend pace (per the rpm type lights) but I do whatever I can. It's still really…

Thank you!

I looked this one up and it mentions "bulking". That's the last thing I need! Is it more of a get big muscles program or a tone/lose fat for older ladies program? I tend to get very bulky when I lift weights. Thank you!

Thank you!! Lots of options to browse through!

Is it too late to join? 44 yr old here. Trying to years to lose. Every fad diet in the world. Trying to just eat everything in moderation now within my calorie goal!! Tired of restrictive diets. Because clearly they have gotten me nowhere!

Thanks everyone! I know this in my head but sometimes it help to hear it from others. I feel (know) I've been struggling with this weight for many many years and my weight just goes up and up and I'm tired of it!!! Trying to do it with moderation and no fads and not prohibiting anything. Calories, walking, exercise I like,…

I definitely use a food scale for everything. And I have a Fitbit charge hr that checks my heart rate monitor. I use a chest strap heart rate monitor when I ride my horse once a week or use a bow flex max. So I'm burning almost 1000 calories more than I eat a day. I don't eat my calories back at least not more than a…

Sounds good to me. I've done everything else I can do for my foot. Hopefully this will do the trick and keep me from surgery. Because it's taken me two weeks in a walking splint to even be able to walk in a shoe. I love walking and traveling and can't be laid up forever!! I'm watching my calories like a hawk and keeping my…

Thanks for all the replies. I started the pills today so we'll see how it goes! I go to this doctor because I do trust him he is a respected podiatrist. He is made me custom orthotics and give me a Cortisone injection in a walking boot so it's an issue that I'm working on long-term with him. But I am an educated medical…

Add me please! I have no MFP friends!!

5'4" here. 43 years old. Just started. Again! 172. I would be thrilled to be 135. I don't need 120 anymore!
-
Also I forgot to mention. I have hashimotos. On medication and monitored but it's hard to take any weight off at all. Hence the 1200.
-
Thanks for all the answers. I didn't realize I could go by a weekly total/deficit without messing myself up
-
I'm 5'4" small bones female. And can't really workout at the moment because I'm laid up with a foot injury. I hobble around in my walking boot so my Fitbit is saying anywhere from 2000-2200 calories a day. Sometimes I only burn 1800. So while it is low, I'm not doing much exercise at all!! 1436 is a 20% deficit of my TDEE…

Thank you everyone! I have MFP linked with my Fitbit and my goal as 2 lbs per week which gives me 1200. It won't be that every day and probably will be less than 2 lbs a week but I'll have my Fitbit steps to help me. For now I'll do 1200 and eat half my exercise calories back if I feel I need them or need an extra
-
Ok so the scooby site gives me 1436 calories a day for a 20% reduction from TDEE. Oh and apparently I'm only 5'4" not 5'5" sadly. MFP gives me 1200 calories a day for 2 lb/week loss or 1280 for a 1 lb/week loss. Does that sound right? What would 1436 give me??
-
When I type in my information it gives me a BMR of 1440 and TDEE of 1728. Am I doing it wrong or using the wrong calculator?
