  • I just want my kids to do the dishes and clean up after themselves. That is a true gift (apparently my kids think so). But I love going on picnics or hikes on Mother's Day. I have the biggest black thumb, so no plants or flowers I have to maintain. Jewelry is always nice. A spa is great when I can squeeze it into my…
  • Reality Check taken! It's a good thing to read if you fall off the wagon and have to get back on it too. (I have lots of bumps from falling off the proverbial wagon!) Thanks for the reassurance!!
  • I just fell on my face trying. So, I'm guessing, that I can't.
  • Since we just bought a lake house, maybe I need some practice... oh wait. Our boat has a motor. Better practice any way you never know when you are gonna get stuck in the middle of the lake with a boat out of gas and need to row home. LOL. I actually really like the row machine. It feels awesome on my shoulders and back…
  • I'm doing my first half -this SUNDAY! It's at Disney and I'm super excited. I have been so busy building endurance and trying to increase my mileage that I just realized last night that I'm running on Sunday. My sister, who is an extreme marathoner, told me to taper... (had to look that up) so guess that's what I'm doing…
  • I am thinking kettle ball, jump rope and new running pants
  • I exercise because it keeps me from killing my kids, my boss, my husband, myself. No, in all honestly, my stress level goes through the roof sometimes and exercise really helps take that stress to a more manageable level. As a working mom, sometimes I rarely get time to myself and exercise is the one small part of my day…
  • Probiotics work for me as well. I work in a cube at work, so I'm always nervous about it. In time, your body will adjust though. :)
  • I'm doing the Disneyworld Princess Half at the end of this month, my first half. But am doing another one in April. Feel free to add me! :)
  • So, I've been training for this marathon thing coming up in February... and it snows here (I think it has snowed in just about all 50 states now) and I have been training on the dreadmill. So, I really appreciate the workout ideas!! :)
  • Boneless pork chops with mushroom sauce, boiled red potatoes with some bacon bits and cheese and asparagus! Already thinking about it...
  • I regifted some Depends diapers and Viagra. Weird 40 b-day gift... It snowed 2 feet and you can't make it to the gym for your workout - what home work out do you do?
  • Okay, I just seriously loved the title of your post today. Would you mind coming down to Colorado and giving me an actual kick in the butt? I swear there is a treadmill with my name on it, but I can't manage to find it! Because the doughnut with my name on it is yelling louder!
  • Okay I just found your board. And although I didn't read all 13 pages of posts... this looks like a fun place to be. Y'all seem like an extremely supportive group. I can't wait to read on! Have a good Wednesday!
  • That's one of the reasons I've stuck around. It's nice to have people that check in on you and want to see you succeed even when you don't feel like you can!
  • Girl - I HATE push ups. I loathe them. Every fiber in my shoulders, back and stomach can't stand them. But, crap. I'll do them. I won't be happy, but I'll do them.
  • These are killer for your chest as well. And it totally works your core since you are using your abs to keep yourself steady. OUCH!
  • My sons are really active and go to the gym every day. One of my sons is at football camp this summer. The other one graduated but still works out like crazy - he wants to be in shape for the girls at ASU... Either way, it's the eating healthy I'm working on with them this summer. I've limited the number of soft drinks in…
  • This is a very sensitive subject and one that I'm sure will be debated, screamed, defended and various other (insert word here) terms until the end of time. No matter what is right to you, someone else views it as wrong. I guess that is what makes me the most upset. I get so tired of hearing how my views are wrong. Wrong…
  • You know, I'm such a smart *kitten* that I love to find someone in class that we can roll out eyes at the skinny, super hyped up instructor. Helps that bonding experience and helps you overlook the fact that your face is red and you are sweating out of places that you can only feel at the moment. I love my bootcamp. And…
  • On the go and near a Super Target? Their salads are really good and really filling. And they have all kinds of different ones. I like the one that has strawberries and chicken in it. Not to mention, they are pretty cheap too. I grab a bottle water and a salad and run out the door... well, after I pay for it. It's summer…
  • I run at night during the summer, so I know what you mean about that false sense of security. I have started to run in more populated areas and have better light. I also don't give people like that the time of day. I glare at them and give them the 'leave me the f*** alone' look. I live near open space (it's a Colorado…
  • I am also an HR Manager and agree with numerous points that have already been made. Don't ever bash management at another company. "I left the company because I wanted to pursue other interests." And then be able to state what you were doing... "looking for a job that would better align with my skills, my passion, my…
  • So weird but an addition. I cleaned out my work out clothes. After wearing the sames ones aLLLLL winter long, it's nice to find some newer (smaller) ones in some bright colors. It also helped motivate me to try some new classes (well, I will next week when the doc approves me to start working out again). It's great to…
  • That's cool! I love lifting classes. But my rec center offers them during the day to all those skinny *****es that stay at home in Highlands Ranch. I probably wouldn't fit in. (LOL). Anyway, good for you!! And I'm sure you will kick some *kitten*!
  • THIS!!! You have to be consistent with TJ. I worked for the company for 10 years and know unless you are willing to make the effort to go on a regular basis, you won't find it. But I have bought tons of workout stuff there. Two of my sons play football and I have purchased long sleeved gear to go under their football pads…
  • Okay, gonna do this tonight when I get home. It will get my legs all warmed up for the crazy walk around the block with my 7 year old. Should be fun... LOL :)
  • Greek yogurt is a great protein. Add some fruit or some nuts and you have a great filling snack. It helps me with those chocolate cravings around the 3 pm time! Or hummas and some veggies for dipping. Also a great snack too. Thanks for the reminder to eat some yummy protein. I'm off to lunch with my husband and this will…
  • Oh goodness. I totally organize my closet - whites to darks and within that, short to long sleeve. All the dresses are organized by length, skirts and pants too. My shoes are stored in clear plastic shoe boxes with a picture taped to the outside. Really scary stuff!!!
  • Wow. As a Colorado resident, I TOTALLY know and HATE those stairs. Way to rock e'm!! Good job!
