I don't agree with you on this one. I am not hungry and eat a lot and still manage to stay within my 1200 net calories. But I agree with you if you eat only 1200 and it is bad quality food, you'll probably be hungry a lot of the time and gain the weight you lost again as soon as you're not on a diet anymore.

I have. Works fine for me, I have lots of energy, getting stronger and faster. But since I exercise every day I haven't really had days where i actually only consumed 1200 cals, but my net cals is usually there or below. I aim to eat between 1400 and 1800 a day disregarding my exercise and try to eat what feels right and…

Try to eat more protein. I eat about 0.8-1g/lbs body weight. (Around 100-130g a day is what I aim for). The protein helps me stay full longer and has a lot of other good things to it, building and repairing muscle and faster recovery after workouts etc etc :) Good foods for that is chicken breast, tuna, cottage cheese,…

Different different days. When only lifting about half an hour, but intense and then usually running or crossfit (takes about 30-45 minutes) that day too. Sometimes lifting/circuit but then for an hour and crossfit. So two workouts most days and total time about 60-120 minutes.

Initial test 35, starting at week 3 day 1

No it does not make you fat. It's good for you. However, too much of anything is not good.... but to get too much protein without trying really hard ( ie having multiple protein shakes and bars a day) is just not going to happen!
-
Thanks! 38, so at least still in my 30's :)
-
@clohessy 51 and you look strong and toned!

If I'm eating too much bad carbs I get hungry really fast, even if my protein intake is high. But if I'm staying low on the bad carbs and high on protein that keeps me full.

For me eating 0.8g protein/lbs body weight would be the same as eating 1g/lbs lean body mass. So I don't think it's that important to hit an exact number. And regarding 40:30:30 I know a lot of people up the protein and lower the carbs, me included.
-
It's not bad. I try to eat about 0.8g-1.0g/lbs body weight. Good natural protein sources apart from lean meat that I try to eat is greek yoghurt, cottage cheese, nuts, quinoa, eggs etc. And congratulations on your weight loss!!! EDIT: I'm not saying TOO much protein is not bad for you, of course if you eat crazy amount of…

When you eat bread, go for wholegrain alternatives. Eat more protein (that will help you stay full longer and is good for other reasons too) When you have yogurt, go for unsweetened greek yogurt and add fresh or frozen berries and if you need something sweeter drizzle some honey over it. To drink diet sodas is not a great…

I agree with this, and if you don't see the results you want you have to be aware of this and choose for example berries instead. If you see the results you want, then don't worry and eat fruit because it's good for you. But it's still sugar!
-
I can't see your diary. Are you trying to lose weight and not seeing the results you want to, then I would suggest you try to eat less sugar 8even if it comes from fruit) eat berries instead. But if you see the results you want to see, then just ignore it because fruit is good for you!

I think it's normal, I had a bad day yesterday and today it is the best feeling when I'm back on track! I always try to focus on whats ahead of me instead of looking back and feeling bad about it! So, no regrets, just make tomorrow a better one :)
-
Amazing, you look great!!

Congratulations, great job!!!!!

Pain is only temporary is what I keep telling myself when things get tough. I also hate to see myself as a quitter so I just try to finish strong!

Heard it's good with a workout before breakfast forweightloss, but apparently very individual whether you can do it or not. So if you're one of the lucky ones who can workout on an empty stomach i say go for it! I tried but doesn't work for me, I need a banana, a tablespoon of nutella or something to stop me from feeling…

@Rileamoyer the one with the bikes is cool!

All calories are not equal. The healthy ones help me lose weight and let me eat A LOT. The sugar and carb ones don't. They just make me starve and I plateau.
-
I really agree with this, when you eat right 1200 (or whatever your goal is) calories can be a real lot of food and keep you satisfied all day! If I ate more bad carbs I could never stay at the low caloric intake i have, I would be starving!

Less carbs and NO white pasta/rice/bread/potatoes etc No processed foods No fruit juices A lot of vegetables A lot of protein Lots of water Work out every day in one way or another (but make sure to listen to your body and rest when needed) And I agree with you, when on a diet and counting calories you will not go hungry…
