  • Hi! I was also looking into this product. It has great reviews on amazon, if you weed out the ones that say "it tastes bad" because...well I'm not looking for something delicious. I'm looking for something to work. Have you bought it yet?
  • Did you eat Pork Rinds before keto? I've never had them and I'm reluctant to try them. In other news I had planned the cabbage and kielbasa for dinner before even seeing this post! Awesome!
  • Today is solid day 2, but I spent all of last week easing in. I've lost 3lbs so far, but still super new. I'm concerned about the keto flu hitting shortly but I'm keeping up with my water, and salt. I'm going to get the electrolyte drops too.

  • Celery sticks, cream cheese and bacon bits. It's like the snack you should feel guilty for but DON'T.
  • Thanks Dragon. I'm currently not eating, errr well close to it. I eat what I can stomach which today was coffee, chicken, celery w/ pb and pineapple. All in very small quantities. If I get an appetite back I'll be doing LCHF. I've been low carb for about a year though, around 75g a day
  • I have the discount card, that's how I can get $100 off. To get free meds I have to have a combined household income of $26K/yr and we make more than that. PS This is WITH insurance
  • Thank you all very much. I haven't noticed any changes yet and it's been two weeks so... We'll see how it goes. I am hopeful.

  • I think I'm like the opposite of textbook lol, since going off the estrogren based BCP I have had two migraines. The worst being Sunday night- current, and I started my cycle last night. Sooooo I am going to start it today (the mini pill) and see what happens. Thanks for your responses
  • Anyone?
  • Yes, and during ovulation
  • Hi there. I recently cut wayyy back on my dairy intake, mostly because Im on metformin and couldnt stay out of the bathroom so I was trying different things. Heres what I can tell you- within 24hrs my met-diarrhea stopped, but a few days later I had a slice of cheese on my sandwhich and boom- back in the bathroom. My acne…
  • I never came back and updated... ITS WORKING! My a1c was 5.5!! Yay! That was the number one reason I was medicated. Insulin issues run in my family. So anyway my doc was impressed with my weightloss. Since starting Met Ive lost 9lbs.
  • Dont stress too much. Good items to go for are fajitas as said, if you have to have the tortillas go with corn.I always make a choice of cheese OR sour cream because I refuse to deprive myself. Have beans! Good source of protein. Chicken or steak are better (read leaner) than ground beef or pork. Skip the margarita. and…
  • It took years for me to get a dx and my gyno wouldn't even diagnose me. I was referred to an endocrinologist. They did a complete metabolic panel, fasting glucose, testosterone levels and A1C. They didn't do an ultrasound because as another poster said, you dont need to have them to have PCOS. Plus I had an u/s in 2008 and…
  • A1C levels 5.5!!! Also being able to donate blood at a local blood drive =)
  • I was able to donate! I kept seeing all these ladies turned away, but you need a reading of 12.5 and mine was 12.7. Just barely! I asked my hubby after and he said his iron was 18.8- over achiever. Thanks all for your advice!
  • Oh good! I've been eating Special K protein with bananas and almond milk! YUM!
  • Just had repeat bloodwork Friday, I go back in a week for results. Fingers crossed!
  • Obviously the Metformin has caused me tummy trouble but since it's been nearly 3 months with no avail and hourly diarrhea, I decided to try eliminating foods. As I have said before, I had done an elimination diet with gluten previous to going on met so I started with dairy. Honestly, it's been 8 days and I feel great. No…
  • I completely understand what you mean. I sympathize. It sucks just starting out because I was feeling great and then I see a gain... Im trying not to be derailed by the scale. Maybe I shouldnt get on the scale for x amount of days... Considering that.

  • Hi! Welcome! My dx was a long time coming, a combination of past elevated DHEA, irregular periods, acne, overweight, had the intra ultrasound and no cycts so "I must not have it". Years later levels were tested again and "out of whack" but no plan of correction. Just recently I basically demanded that OBGYN refer me to an…
  • I have no advice, but sticking around to see what others say
  • So endo called in Minastrin 24 Fe for me. This is a good one for two reasons, 1. the inactive iron pills since Im iron deficient and taking an iron supp daily. 1. monophasic so I dont have a surge of hormones at any given point. Ive been on Loestrin before, and this is the replacement for that so I should have a good…
  • If you need to be on bcp for the hormones, wouldnt mirena or paraguard be counterproductive? I am leaning towards Loestrin or Yaz because theyre monophasic. Ortho tri made me psycho. I felt like I was bipolar.
  • Hi there! I have more than 50 to lose, ideally Id like to lose 70. If I lost 50 though I would be ecstatic! It has taken 11 years to get an official diagnosis. In hindsight I have no idea why doctors couldnt see all the red flags. Since I began my period at age 10 I have had terrible acne, irregular periods, horrible…
  • Thanks! I feel like I just go round and round bc first my doc thought wheat intolerance and then no, its IR, then it was like oh wait- you have hormonal issues? its probably PCOS related IR. And since many people respond well to low carb I wondered if GF would be helpful. I have to say it is super hard to maintain. I'll be…
