  • Thanks guys! I'll have to check out the closest Trader Joe's (about 30 minutes). Are the Tinkyada rice noodles at TJ's? Or Asian markets? The grocery stores near me are the main ones, ie Albertson's, Von's, etc.
  • Thanks for all the suggestions! I know the Asian grocer in my town has closed its doors but I think there is another one a few towns over. I like the potato idea, I love potatoes. Also want to try the quinoa/corn ones too.
  • I think the hard thing is figuring out what is best for you. I know for myself, I know I do best on a lot of protein, supplemented with good fats, lots of dark green veggies, and light on the fruit and carbs. I do best gluten free. So I think the paleo diet will be a good fit. Other people do best on mostly carbs.
  • I've never tried any particular program. I tend to "pick and choose" from diet methods. But right now I'm interested in the Paleo diet, but will probably keep dairy. See, even then I'm picking and choosing. I'd never be able to follow a strict diet program...
  • One of my monthly health goals is to read this book. I would love to download it, but otherwise I'll be hiking down to my local library and picking it up.
  • I'm a senior in college and am 23. I've got 50 pounds to lose to be at where I was when I graduated HS. My goal is to lose 80.
  • I won't be able to weigh in until I get home (visiting family). I'm also going to be going to local TOPS meetings so I'll have weekly weigh ins.
