You got to have your cheats, life is too short. Just don't let it totally derail your program. Log it, be honest, and move on.

Down 36 lbs on MFP, down 45 lbs from my peak weight of 234. Feel great, biking to work, a 28 mile round trip, Incredible at 52 yrs of age to do this easily. Could have never done it as easily when I was up at 234 lbs. Still want to get down to 170, but not rushing at this point. Feel great, weight is still dropping about…

Also, as another person wrote, go to the gym or fitness center. Never again in your life will you have access to the great opportunities for fitness and working out as is available at…

A great area to walk, some nice trails. I'm not sure of a restaurant at the top, but we normally camp there in the fall. Perhaps the restaurant is a summertime thing. Have a great time, I'm sorry we can't be there.

Not sure which one I got, it's 3/4" in width. It's fits nicely on my nylon watch band. I wear it all the time.

Get the unhealthy crap out of your house!! Have healthy snacks prepared and ready to eat, fruit is great for this, sweet and juicy. At that point in the day your sugar level is probably pretty low, so when you wake up you're going to crave it, go for the natural sugar of and Apple, the crunch is good too. If you need that…

I'm only 5' 11", started at 230lbs, down to 202LBS last weigh in. Struggling to break to 200 line. Heading for 170lbs eventually, hopefully by my 52nd birthday in July. After reading Ed Davenports story above, I'm inspired. Ed, you ought to write a book and go on TV and tell all the whiners who just can't do it, to shut up…

poly or wicking under armor type base layer, a layer of fleece or two, depending on temps, and something to block the wind, preferably that breaths. A neck gator I can pull up over chin and cheeks if needed and a thin poly skull cap for under the helmet. Under armor type base layer for the legs and lined wind pants. Some…

This is great, but I'm out of town some days of the month. Can I double up my rides, do a morning and evening ride, on days I'm home to make up missed days? :-)

Bought a Reactive Serfas saddle about two weeks ago. So far, I really like it, only about $35. I realize there are real nice leather saddles for a lot more money, but this one works well for me.

Hi - My name is Brad. I'm a 51 yr old guy working hard to lose the 50 lbs I packed on while my wife and I were raising two great sons. We're new "empty nesters" this past fall, so I found myself with some time to dedicate to myself. I joined MFP January 2, 2011 and so far have dropped about 25 lbs. My goal is 50-60lbs…

Consistent calorie counting now for three months, combined with walking for 3 miles everyday at 3.5 mph. I'm down 25 lbs, halfway to my goal. Today I realized a long time goal of riding my bike to work, 7 miles each way. It was great, I'm looking forward Monday to ride again.

Remember you're a stronger person than any food. One thing to keep in mind; is not just the calories and weight from high calorie and high fat foods, the long term health risks are the real detriments. Obesity, diabetes, bad knees, missing out on activities because you're to fat and to tired, are bad ways to go through…

Six plus pages of comments and I'm glad to see it's just not me. My fingers get cold and I'm wrapped up in a blanket a lot and as they say, it has not ben a cold winter. I just hope come summer I experience the reverse. I've always been the one who starts sweating at 65 degrees. everyone else is just a little warm, and I'm…
