I like nothing from New York or I guess actually New Jersey

I never log out because the urge to eat never logs out

Is it just me? I'm eating no-fat yogurt and cottage cheese and can barely lose a pound and you guys are lavishing things all over your fish.

Orrrrr, just don't drink.

50 degree day in Ohio. Raked leaves, picked up twigs got my lawn tractor ready to plow the snow that will come tonight

1/2 a pound a day is totally possible with appropriate exercise and not eating the exercise calories back. Raspberries, blueberries, no fat cottage cheese, weight control oatmeal, English muffins and no fat cream cheese, no sugar popsicles and snack on black cherries. Eat a little every hour or so and no big meals If you…

It's in a green box. Hard to find but worth the effort. I buy it up when I see it

Would you rather feed the voices in your head or be happy and healthy. Sorry it's that hard. Are you in charge of your life or not

Been here two weeks and lost seven pounds. Just be honest with the site and yourself. If you need to obsess about anything, obsess about this site. Look up foods before you buy or eat them. You can always post stuff and see what it looks like and then delete it from your diary if it's not good for you.

The medical community thinks 18 is the minimum and 25-30 is required for good health. Until I remember how to change my numbers, I just ignore it until it gets over 30

1700 is like a maintenance level to me. I set mine at 1400 calories and seldom get that high. I follow cholesterol because I believe it shows me what is healthy and what is not . One thing is there seems to be an awful lot of sodium there, but I don't know what that means. Allowing my daily calories to fluctuate up and…

I eat Quaker Weight Control in several favors. I add raw cinnamon and raw fruit like blueberries or cut apple sometimes but mostly plain. Boredom is listening to the voices in my head which for today I choose not to do

One package of Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal made with water,,,,,,and a blueberry if I've been good

Let's just say you can yo-yo somewhat and keep your body from adjusting. If you have an extra calorie mentality maybe you should work on staying in the present. Just for today I'm going to try my best. Tomorrow I have no control over. Cheating, at least for me, sets up craving and thoughts about what I can get away with.

Take your time. I think 1200, which is borderline starvation is probably too low. Kick it to 1400 and allow yourself time to get your body used to it. I let the site set my goals in all categories except cholesterol which I over rode because of my health problems.

Once a year is good until it goes high, then 3-6 months depending on how bad. Cholesterol is one of the things I track on my daily food page.and try to get under 150 mg a day. As you get older your body starts making too much

Don't step on the Geiko. 7.5

English Muffins and low fat cheese cheese fill me up in the evening. You don't want to go into starvation mode because your body will start storing fats

Picked up my exercycle off a tree lawn. Works the arms as well as legs. I'm never good for more than 15 minutes. Schwinn AirDyns are the best if you can find one on Craigslist

My recovery makes this diet thing much easier to handle. I knew I wasn't gonna die when I got clean and surely staying away from McDonald's will be easier that the liquor store or pusher. They are all about not listening to lies that come out of your head. I can do this and I will.
-
Just a thought, but it works for me and I'm in about the same spot. See-saw up and down on purpose and don't let you body try to recover. Too many days at low input and the body adjusts and nothing happens

Liking and being friends are not exclusive of each other. You have to be friends firsts and you probably won't be if there wasn't some thing there first. For me, the need to spend more time together is my first sign. If I don't eant to let a week go be without her and start plotting reasons to see her more, that's the deal
-
BTW-I am not looking for fads or quick fixes. I'm looking to make sincere lifestyle changes. Many of the things I'm eating and doing are things I enjoyed before I was married and had kids. Preparing food for myself is way different than making meals for growing kids and an over weight wife

I take great pride in staying under my calorie limits and over my exercise goals. I check everything on this site before I buy or eat it. I'm a hamburger junkie who decided I'd rather lose all the stuff I think I like than walk around fat anymore.
