This is how I look at BMI, it takes your weight and height, but it doesn't account for muscle. Let's say as an example you're 5'7 and weight 200lb and not very active BMI says you're overweight. Also let's say there is someone at your gym same height, same weight, but this person works out all the time with weights and is…

I don't watch Dr. Oz, I don't care for him mostly because his voice gets on my nerves for some reason. There are a lot of people who love him and the others who hate him and there is ignorance on both ends of the spectrum. My advice to you is, if you see something on Dr. Oz that really peaks your interest about weightloss…

well put, I totally agree

I've got the "B" you do. I think genetics plays a factor in the shape, but I could be wrong.

You should definitely eat fruit like you said all the healthy benefits you get from it, but diabetics like my mom Type 2 diabetes and my best friend who has type 1 and type 2 diabetes do need to watch how much fruit they eat due to sugar. Someone like myself needs to be mindful of my sugars in processed foods because I…

Pretty much like everyone else said, see a doctor first. A couple of my coworkers use this stuff called black soap that they get at a farmers market for their kids with eczema. They say it really helps and makes the skin soft. It's an organic all natural product.

You're both right in away. The source does matter as to how the body breaks down the food to get to the processing point, but once the body breaks it down to the sugar level and has used the fiber, water etc, the body sees it as sugar no matter where it came from. and will process it all the same. Let's say you ate a dark…

I like mine on granola, in my coffee, and my protein shakes. If your a coffee person like me, they also make flavored coconut milk half and half which elminates the need for any added sweetener.

Sugar is a big thing with me because so many times people forget that sugar can play a big part in weightloss especially if you have PCOS like me. I considered my self a pseudo self taught expert on the matter and please take what you will from what I have to say. I'm sure many will agree with me on some level and some…

Designer Whey protein low cal, fat, and sugar. They have a lot of flavors and their website has a good chunk of recipes including a shamrock shake. I purchase mine from the Vitaman Shoppe.

My experience is, I work out the hardest Mon-Wed, the rest of the week I'm kind of laxed about exercising other then some resistance training, stretching, and ab work. My official weigh in day is Monday morning, but I still weight myself everyday. I noticed Tues, Wed, and Thurs morning when I weight myself the scale goes…

Natural whole almonds (not roasted or salted) a good caloric dense food, good fat, low sugar, good protein. I keep a container in my desk as work. I also keep RF natural PB and rice cakes in my desk for my morning snack.

I don't know what healthcare is like in the UK, but might be time to find a new GP or maybe just see your OB/GYN. Everybody is different and everyone can only speak on their situation. Talk to your OB/GYN, they could potentially refer you to an Endocrinologist who would (at least should) to a full panel of blood tests to…

If you look at labels on containers the total fat doesn't equals the total count of the specific fats. The USDA requires that the amounts of those specific fats be identified, but there are additional fats that aren't categorized and are included in the total fat amount

It down right pisses me off especially when the calories and fat are entered but everything else says NA. I always double check and if I find it wrong I added it in My Foods section that way I know it's right.

There really aren't 'good' or 'bad' sugars. Your body processes it all the same, doesn't matter if it's high fructose corn syrup . I thought there were good and bad sugars also until my pharmacist who is a also a nutritionist corrected me. Your body doesn't go "Oooh this sugar came from a fruit oh and wait this sugar came…

I mix chocolate protein powder with a little coffee and unsweetened almond milk (even better blened w/ ice)

I've never done the 30DS, but I do a lot of dancing and kickboxing. I find if I don't stretch out really well afterwards and drink plenty of water I am super stiff especially in my ankles and hamstrings. Has it been awhile since you've done an intensive workout (my understanding is 30DS is really intense)? Is it your…

This is what I've learned when it comes to bras, if it's american company like lane bryant, avenue, victorias secret the bras just plain suck. If you can afford it, european made is the way to go. I forget the extact numbers, but were as american bras are made with only something like 10 points of support, european made…
